    Blue Smoke

Thanks for the reply guys. It will be interesting to see what happened on the video. Lex you may be right. I was thinking that but the water should have run back out of the tailpipe cause the Edge was siting up hill ,but who knows it sounds logical. It has not happened since the last time and I have washed my Edge lot of time since that day.
  2. Hi all, hope your all enjoying some nice weather.I have a 08 and I'm just wondering if any one has experienced any blue smoke out of the exhaust pipe when you start up after 2hr sit on a little bit of a hill grade, front of the Edge being higher then the back? This as happened to me twice, I start it up on level ground know smoke and move it to were I wash and clean my Edge and it is on a bit of a hill rise and it sets there for 2hr. and I start it back up and the blue smoke just rolls out of it. I run full synthetic Mobile ! and change it every 8000 km . It doesn't seem to lower the oil on the dipstick from one oil change to another so I guess it is nothing to worry about. I did a search on it and did a lot of reading but did not find anything on this problem but I was just wondering so I thought I would post a topic to see if any one else has seen this. I thought at first it must be letting oil by the valve rubbers but who knows. Any how any info would be greatly appreciated thanks.
  3. Hi all hope you are all having a good day. I also hope you all have some very mary holidays coming up. I changed my low beams to the NOKYA H9 ArcticWhite Stage 2 100 watt and fog lights to the H11 NOKYA Arctic White Stage 2 80 watt. Visibility is alot better on low beam and I have drove for about 5 hrs checking the light wiring and inside light case to see if it is getting to hot and everything is fine on both low beam and fog lights. Now on high beam I went with the GE Nighthawk Platinum Headlamps and I can say they are a bit better but not that much. I thought my high beam was already guite bright but you know !you got to go brighter. So when I took out the high beam they were Sylvania clear bulbs. I don't think I gained much by changing the high beams for the money I spent $66.00 just for high beam but all and all I'm happy with the over all change of all the lights. I also but blue 3157 parking lights in and they go with my blue EDGE.
  4. I just pride on it with a screwdriver and it came right out . It is almost the same size as the hole just a little bet bigger. I shoved a end piece that goes to 3in"duck work in the hole and it sticks out of the other side of the hole toward the fender about 4in". Thats enough to but a flexible tub on and run it to the bottom of the front end for cold air.
  5. Hi there folks, hope you are all having a nice day. I usually don't do much posting, and I do a lot of reading, seems to be better for me. Anyways here goes, I have a 08 EDGE and I am very happy with it. I"v done the KN filter and taken out the cone on the side of the air box and disconnected the battery overnight for the relearn and then connected it back up the next morning and went driving for the day and all went well. I live in Canada so my information center reads up in kilometers instead of miles. It sounds like I have better performance(lol) but I will leave that along. I did get better gas mileage with it reading 11.5 litters to 100 kilometers the night I did the change to 10.5 litters after I got done driving for about 4 houris the next day. I"m pleased with that, but I'm trying to understand this part of one of the posts that its4myhonee wrote (I have not removed the main fuse yet... i'm waiting to install a ground on the TB first...) could someone please explain this to me I hate to be slow but it would sure be appreciated. I"m not sure what TB means either I"m just guessing here Throttle body? Anyhow thanks in advance fore the help.

    Hi all

Just like to say hi to every one here. I'm a prod owner of a new leftover 2008 Edge SEL AWD ,and I must say I;m impressed with the way it works. I have done a lot of reading on here and there is a lot of useful info on here to get, so thank you all for the info. I have looked at a lot of pictures here and they all look very nice. I like the fender vent on the (Murdered Edge) photos. I can feel the mod bug starting to bite me now lol.
