We had the same issue, and thankfully I had purchased the extended warranty, so the repair was covered. That said, I would never buy a Ford again.
The dealer charges $200 just to diagnose anything — even something as simple as a stuck seat belt. In my case, they didn’t even attempt to repair it. They just recommended full replacement.
I’ve had issues with two seat belts:
Front driver side gets stuck during the hot summer months.
Rear seat belt stays stuck.
I also had the tailgate lock fail, which they replaced.
For a vehicle with under 50k miles, I’ve spent more on repairs than I did on both my Honda Pilot and Lexus at the same mileage. That’s unacceptable.
