  1. SteedaMike, 1 post and it's a sales pitch. Not impressed.
  2. That's the exact same car that my wife has and we really like it.
  3. I've owned a lot of cars in my long life (new and used) and this has never been an issue with any of them. This tells me it's a design issue. And I also never use forums as a diagnostic tool as most forum members do not have automotive engineering degrees and are just average Joe's like the rest of us. Most employees at the dealership also are undereducated when it comes time to diagnostics. I always take my vehicle to a personal mechanic that I trust to get an unbiased diagnosis and fair pricing. I own a 2008 6.4 diesel Superduty as well that has never seen the inside of a dealership and I don't plan on taking the Edge there unless it is for a warranty repair such as the stinky ventilation system. Although I appreciate your opinion, I take it with a grain of salt.
  4. Mine stunk from the day I bought it brand new and I've now got 3000 miles on it. I live in dry Arizona so that tells me it's something else.
  5. The wife and I love ours. Very quiet and good on gas.
  6. All depends on how heavy our foot is. Drive like an old man and numbers are good. Race around town and numbers are low.
  7. Congrats, The wife & I like ours also.
  8. I've got the same issue and it has smelled since we bought it. It's a 2 month old 2009.
  9. Yes, the camel mats get trashed within weeks. The wife and I are looking at the vinyl mats with the rim around it to keep all the little Arizona gravel off of the carpet.
  10. Nope, thats not a totaled car. The insurance company will weigh how much it will cost to fix it against how much it will cost them to total it. They will do whatever costs them the least and they will probably wind up fixing that car. There is just not enough damage there.
  11. Once your Super Duty is gone, you'll cry like a baby. They tend to be heirlooms.Sorry for the double post.

  13. I own a 2008 Super Duty and belong to several forums and I'm constantly reading about warranty denials for one thing or another, oil being one of them along with emissions issues. Ford is a real humdinger when it comes to denying warranties. Personally, I'm waiting until my warranty is out before straying too far from stock. We can all offer all sorts of opinions and quote all kinds of legal precedents but when it comes right down to it, Ford has us by the cajones. It's "Who's right, who's wrong and who holds the warranty". Just my 2 cents.
  14. 2009 SE with 1000 miles and no smell other than that good new car smell.
  15. Been averaging 22 mpg with 600+ miles on the odometer, hand calculated. 2009 SE.
