They also have a mesh grille. I don't like the thick edges. If it was all mesh it would look better.

Are they 8.5" wide or 8"? I'm surprised the 245's didn't look too stretched.

Got my Edge back from the dealer last week put about 100 miles on it so far. They had the engine out to install new cam phasers. They also changed the VCT solenoids. Car runs ok but now it seems I have other problems. Engine idles too low, push the gas and car puts you into the seat. Still have the ticking noise in the engine at start up. Ford says there is nothing wrong with the engine because it ticks at start up. I say there is, Chevy's dont tick, Dodge's dont tick and others that I have l driven. Spent 32 grand on this car and expected it to last 100,000 miles or more. Last Ford I ever Buy.

I'm a little confused. The engine was repaired at no cost to you, hauls ass when you hit the gas and the engine ticks like every other Duratec when cold and you aren't happy and won't buy another Ford?

Chevy and Dodge don't tick but, that doesn't mean squat. Look who's taking your tax dollars and pissing it away .

Those KMC's do look good. I wonder how heavy they are and how much different the FWD application will look with the deep dish gone? I may need to look into those also. I had the KMC XD Diesels on my F-250, loved how mean they looked.

I wonder how they will hold up through the years? They look pretty beat up. I know they are flat black but, look at the rivets. It almost seems like the powder coat is chipping? I've been eyeballing The Rays whole line-up because they are light as hell. I definitely need to call to see what models will fit.

My first oil change I'll do at 2000-2500 miles, which will be next month. It just makes me feel better getting the "break-in" oil out of there (break-in meaning engine break-in not some different oil blend). From there out it will be 5,000 miles, once again piece of mind nothing scientific.

NXT 2.0 wash and wax. Believe me, I have used them all. The 2.0 lasts the longest and water does not bead up.....it sheets off the car leaving it virtually "waterproof".

I agree. Just bought another round of NXT 2.0 wax in the bottle, 3 bottles of NXT quick detailer & 64oz of NXT wash soap. Love the stuff!!

Congrats, I'm positive your going to love it over the SD. tHE fLEX DOES HAVE A BETTER INTERIOR, BUT i DIDN'T NEED THE EXTRA SPACE. tHE eDGE IS PERFECT FOR ME. .................I just realized the Caps lock was on and I'm too lazy to go back and fix it.

Neither of our Edges have had motor isues. Here's a link to somebody who has had a motor pulled....almost sounds like your problem

I don't know. I'll check after work and see what happens. Have you tried with your keys in the ignition vs. out? Maybe there is a safety feature letting you know the hatch is open when the keys are in the ignition?

Yes. You can store cleaners, detail spray, cloths, glass cleaner, jumper cables, tools, etc. in the plastic storage bins around the spare tire. Units without the bin option don't get the tire cover or bins - just foam spacers around the spare.

I am currently keeping my quick detailer rolled up in a towell behind my drivers seat. I may try the storage areas, but I use the NXT detailer so frequent I don't want to wear the power lift hatch prematurely

I notice it when it's really hot outside (85+ degrees). We had a 90 degree day last week and it sounded like crap when I made turns. Reminded me of when kids put playing cards in the spokes of their bikes.

different strokes for different folks. I had the "wood grain" on my 2008 F-250 Lariat and did not prefer it, wanted what they had on the FX4. Our Edge Limited has the brushed gray accents and absolutely love it.

What exactly is "cargo management". I have it on my Edge and all I see is.... nothing in the back? Is it supposed to be the spaces around the spare tire after you lift the cover up?
