  1. Only thing not already done in my signature, is intercooler and custom tune. Just waiting a couple months to order a CVF intercooler, then, have it tuned. Waiting until just before my next oil change to check the catch-can ... hopefully, it will be dirty as hell, so I'll know it was worth the money. Reason I did a 50/50 BOV is to vent 50% pressure to the atmosphere and still hold 50% pressure on the turbos. Read multiple reviews and articles. Made sense and it seems to have smoothed out the shifts - a lot. I'll try out the Techron cleaner. Heard a lot of good things about it. Thank you for adding the link!!
  2. Since we all three have the GEN 1 engine, I have to ask. Any major issues with the drivetrain ... as relates to your modifications or high milage? Already doing the fluid/oil changes and frequent maintenance. Also using CRC Turbo & Injector cleaner and considering the TechTron fuel additive in hopes of keeping the fuel system free of carbon buildup in the engine and moisture out of the tank. Hope y'all are having a good weekend. Always open to suggestions.
  3. How many miles do you and 1004Ron have on your Edge vehicles?
  4. Great to hear 1004ron ! I'm just happy I don't have to remove the wheels in the near future to install new pads. Those 21's are hea-VY. Here are a few pics of the brake calipers, as promised. Can't see them very well, but, they look a little better when the sun is not directly overhead and casting shadows.
  5. Hard to believe these pads last so long. They look nearly brand new. Made my caliper painting project a much happier experience. I'll go out and clean my wheels and take a picture of how it looks. Hopefully, I'll get some comments on them. The wheels are beefy; therefore, can't see the calipers as well as I'd like.
  6. Pulled the wheels off the 2.7 Nautilus to paint the calipers. Was expecting to see worn-down brake pads because I often brake pretty hard. Ford brake pads must be a very hardened material. All 4 corners looked nearly new with very little wear. Made it worth the effort to pull the wheels off and the Ford Blue calipers look pretty good. Only problem is the Black Label wheels cover up too much of the calipers and you cannot see them very well, but, well enough to see a difference from the original bare metal.
  7. We're at about 20' above sea level and ambient temperature about 70* in Florida. Light turned green. He got on the pedal and I did too. 0-50 was sweet, until he pulled on me and passed me at 50 mph. My belief is the Livernois tune with a few minor mods really brings our platform (Nautilus / Edge ST) alive. We're at about 20' above sea level with an ambient temperature about 70* (in Florida). From my experience, I believe I'm easily doing about a sub 5.0 second 0-60. Once the Hellcat's 650 LB FT of torque got that TRX Hellcat moving, the 707 crank HP pulls extremely hard ... "sweet spot" for the TRX. Those trucks have a declared 4.5 second 0-60 time, so, basing my theoretical belief of sub-5 seconds, because he flew by me at 50 mph. I'll get it out to the Dragstrip soon. Guy gave me a big smile and a thumbs-up. Just sharing the experience. Feel free to comment negatively or positively with your honest opinion.
  8. I'll have a local guy, Jake LaMotta, do a custom dyno tune on it, once I get the parts on. Minor upgrades were already installed. NGK colder Spark plugs, TurboSmart 50%/50% BOV (keeps pressure on the turbos between shifts - only 50% vents to atmosphere so the turbos don't have to work so hard), 170* Reisch thermostat (installation this week), aFe Max Flow Dry drop-in filter installed, and CVF FMIC (Installing in April or May}, are all mainly for Florida summer heat not for power so much. Trying to keep the stock exhaust as close to stock as possible ... sleeper ... quiet and fast. Just got around to installing the aFe air filter and I can tell a couple improvements. Seems like it was starving for air through the paper filter. 1. Dead stop launch doesn't lag quite as much. 2. Feels like it pulls and keeps pulling a little harder in each gear, as compared to before.
  9. I'm new to the turbo world. Been through this upgrade process, when I had my previous low 11's 1999 Trans Am (below). See my comments in the other thread you posted to. I changed the exhaust 3 times before it hit the right note and flowed how I wanted it to. Always open to your comments.
  10. Thanks for your comment's fellows. I've found a few great quality wheels and tires which would shave off about 25 lbs. from each corner. So, this weight reduction woulbe equivalent to about 500 lbs. of dead (un-sprung) weight. My goal was to lighten up the vehicle a bit before doing more serious upgrades. Have decided against the wheels for now, since a turbo upgrade kit would be about the same price. I'll later buy a set of 16" Weld Drag Lite wheels and tires for the track. Shooting for somewhere in the ballpark of 400 AWDHP/425 AWDTQ. So far, I've done the Livernois MyCalibrator tune, TurboSmart 50/50 BOV, NGK LTR7BHX (95605) 1-level colder Spark Plugs, 170* thermostat, and aFe CAI PR5 Pro Dry drop-in filter. Going forward mods are going to be CVF FMIC, then, upgraded turbos. Anything more and I'd have to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors.
  11. Justb received and installed the Turbosmart 1.5/twin scroll 2.7 Kompact EM BOV VR2 50/50 to replace the stock BPV. It feels a little different as 50% of the pressure is released and the other 50% recycles back through to hold turbo pressure, which feels smoother and the shifts seem to be a little more consistent. I'm overall content with it, but, not overly joyed. Anyone else have this same 50/50 BOV?
  12. Has anyone here with 20" or 21" wheels ever swapped to a lighter wheel for less rotating mass? Maybe Welds, etc., for faster 1/4-mile times? If so, by how much did it improve your ET?
  13. ... or is 160* thermostat a waste of money if I am already planning to replace the factory intercooler with a CVF Performance FMIC? I live in Florida and own the 2.7 EcoBoost vehicle with LMS tune. Thanks for any input you might offer.
  14. Thanks, Oldandintheway. I'm 68, so, I feel your pain ... ha!! I'll probably just do a K&N drop-in filter for the air intake to squeeze a few ponies out of the factory intake for now. CAI later down the road. Don't want to go too far with the upgrades. Just a fun daily driver is what I'm looking at. Think I should do the pedal thing-a-ma-jig? I've read they improve throttle response a lot. Any downsides to them?
