  1. If you do it in your garage with the right tools (i.e. a spring compressor) a few hours. It's a bit of a pain on our vehicles because the bolts to the front struts are under the cowl and you have to wrench them out slowly. The rear helps to drop the cradle. I had a shop do mine for $225. They had the rear done in 30 minutes and the front took a bit longer (hour or so). I've done so many on my other cars I just didn't feel like messing with this one as its a touch more of a pain.
  2. Wow all of those look really fantastic, i don't think you would go wrong with any of them... The blue on blue looks great and black on silver is just classic, love it. I even like the red on red one as well...
  3. No alignment needed and no negative camber issues. That's what I love about the Eibach setup is you can pop them in and not have to worry about anything. The ride is great nice and supple, not harsh and on the interstate you can't really tell. Flattens the corners nicely too.
  4. You mentioned the LTD light housing was different than any other Edge, but I have a limited and a sport and they look identical? what's different? Love the idea though might have to give it a try. What's $25 to tinker with it right...
  5. I am really interested in doing this, looks great. One of the things that kinda puts me off on doing stuff like this is the steps that usually involve removing some really nasty sealant and baking crap in the oven to reseal it
  6. Cool, glad I didn't have to mess with this on either of my Edge's. Remote start works as I expected. Start the car, get in, push start button and go. Stays running the whole time. Though sometimes I forget to push the start button and when you grab the shifter to go the car shuts down, good safety feature though...
  7. Are these upgrades to the Sony 12 speaker system? Has anyone done an upgrade to that?
  8. Wow great find! May have to order a set.
  9. No go on tuning the '11 and up. Seems the PCM and the SCT tuner at least aren't yet compatible. Not sure about other tuners.
  10. Welcome. Not a lot of mods available for it. You can do Tune (pre '11 models), exhaust (Magnaflow), CAI (Steeda has a nice one for the 3.5) and springs and such (Eibach, H&R). There are some nice wheel options and of course you can go nuts with audio in the thing..
  11. Took your advice, I'm now up to 18.4! I'm gonna make a run at 19 :happy feet:
  12. Sent you pictures and an audio clip via email. Let me know. If you look closely at the pictures I sent you can see the factory system leaning against the wall of the garage
  13. No problem. I'll make a video in the next day or so. The factory system will be here Friday so I'll make sure I get it done before then. It needs to be a 3.7 Sport because the 3.5L Exhaust is single all the way back, the Sport is duel, well until it hits the X and then singles into the big rear muffler... Then again it probably could be modified to fit with a little creativity...
  14. Lots of good suggestions here I'll add mine: 1. Auto up/down on all the freakin windows not just the drivers 2. Dimming side mirrors 3. Active cruise on the Sport 4. Bigger brakes (why do Ford brakes alway suck) 5. The 3.5L TT Ecoboost with 400+HP and good aftermarket support 6. Cargo Cover - This is easy come on Ford 7. Better Stereo ala Shaker 1000 8. Fog Lights 9. Heated Steering wheel 10. A/C Seats like the MKX 11. Better side bolsters for the seats (maybe a Recaro option) All of that is doable without adding to much more to the price. And all of it is already available on either Ford products so it's already in the parts bin. Could be an SVT vehicle package. I say they go after the SRT8 with a vengeance...
