  1. Hmmmmmmmmm. I also have the same problem with a new 2011 MKX. Both front doors do not fit flush with the body of the vehicle. I do not, however, have any difficulty in closing the doors. They close just fine. The improper fit especially evident since I installed a set of door moldings from Sportwing. You can see that the edge of the door "sticks" out about 1/8". Could this be a factory problem? I cannot believe that a $50,000+ vehicle would leave the factory with improperly adjusted doors.
  2. " It was built 8/31, was sent offsite to the upfitter for the cargo package" "offsite to the upfitter"???????? Since when does Ford outsource the simple installation of a bumper shield, floor mat and cargo cover. Does not sound right, but who knows.
  3. ,"or twitter. The person on Twitter seems the most knowledgeable." Who, on Twitter, did you contact for info?
  4. I will give you a better example of how long you may be waiting! I ordered my 2011 MKX on March 29, 2010, with DORA being accepted and acknowleded by Ford on March 29 2010. Initially, vechicle was scheduled for build on July 12, 2010, pushed back to August 16, 2010, and as of yesterday, now scheduled for week of August 30, 2010. Ford, through my dealer and CRC, has NOT provided a reaosn for delays. I did order ALL options, except for rear DVD player, but that should not make a difference. They just say "SORRY", its in the hands of the factory. Oh, I am located in Rcihmond Heigths, Ohio and the order was a Z-Plan purchase. This is my 9th Z-Plan purchase, all factory orders, and it has NEVER taken this long. I do have a VIN number. Oh well, we shall see.
  5. You must contact Ford Credit to make arrangments for a lease extension. So long as you have a vehicle on order, the lease can be extended for an additional two months, at the same prior lease rate. Sales tax for the two months up-front in Ohio. You also get an additional amount of extended mileage, based upon your original total miles. Beyond the two month extension, you can obtain additional lease months, so long as you obtain proof from your dealer that a vehcile is on order. I suggest you contact Ford Credit and your delaer for additional information.
  6. This topic may have been raised before, but I will ask the question once agian. Has anyone placed an order for a 2011 MKX and received specific information as to build date and delivery? I placed my order back on March 29, 2010. Dealer has provided me with a copy of the "Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement", or "DORA", which indicates the order was processed and accepted by Ford/Lincoln on March 29, 2010. My saleman indicated last week, that the vehicle was being built the week of July 12, 2010, but he did not provide me with a VIN. Just curious, since I have already extended my lease once for two months and will have to extend the lease again if my new "baby" does nto arrive before August 12, 2010. Thanks in advance for any information. Oh, I think I will pay a personal visit to my dealer, this afternoon, and attempt to get a definite answer.
  7. Congrats on the new MKX. What kind of options did you order? Was it an AWD or FWD? I just ordered an MKX from my dealer, in Dune Pearl w/ a black interior and ALL the options, and hope to receive it before my next payment is due on my existing Aviator. Thanks in advance.
