  1. I'd be happy too, it looks beautiful but, I'm kinda computer stoopit ....how would I go about posting some pics?
  2. Ah....that explains it. I've only driven about 15 miles since the wheels were put on. It's such a major PITA (and expense) to get the new bands, remove the sensors from the OE rims and put 'em on the new ones, I think I'll just hafta live with the (forthcoming) dash warning. Thanks for clearing that up.
  3. Just put 20" Enkei rims with Bridgestone Alenzas (275/45/20) on our MKX today, and didn't even mess with the TPMS on the OE rims (just left the sensors on the old 18's), and there's no tire pressure monitor warning anywhere? What gives, I thought this would be prominently displayed on the dash? It's as if there were no sensors in the car to begin with (and I'm pleasantly surprised).
  4. We just (last week) went from a 2004 Touareg to the FWD MKX (X-plan lease), and my wife much rather prefers the Lincoln. Although the Touareg was a nice car, we found it very quirky and are ecstatic with the new vehicle.
  5. Actually, he said he got up to 110 mph (not that it makes any difference). Either way, not a good idea and a good way to get somebody 'woke up dead.'
  6. Edged Out...NYEdge...thanks for the heads up. I should have clarified by stating that this is for an MKX (bought it for the wife - birthday surprise this afternoon), and I ordered Enkei 20's for the car. I would imagine it's the same setup for the MKX as the Edge though, in terms of whether it's the band, or the valve stem? If it's the bands, I was given this replacement part number for the 20" Ford rim bands: 6F2Z1A193G -And told they run around $56 ea! What did it cost for the sensors and the straps...was it $400-$600? Thanks. *Since this is a lease, I need to leave the 18" rims intact so they can be put back on the car when I turn it in.
  7. What did you do about the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system)?? I'm trying to get some answers from dealerships, and I'm getting different answers from each person I talk with. One says I can move the sensors from the 18" rim to the 20" rim, but I'll need to purchase new 'bands'....another says I cannot; that I'll need new sensors. Help! My wheels come in Friday and I don't know what I need! Thanks!
  8. Curious...where did you order/purchase your wheels? I'm going to put 20" Enkei's on, and was shopping wheel prices. I don't know who to trust.... Thanks.
