  1. I have a 2008 Edge and live outside Olney/Sandy Spring if you still need an Edge.
  2. Sorry, I thought my response to your question was in there, must have erased it or something. - It would just provide me with a little more clearance in the front. I love taking my Edge off road...dirt, mud, snow, anything basically...and the extra inch of space wouldn't hurt since that piece has been hit numerous times. Maybe just take it off while I'm goofing around and just re-attach it when I'm done? Thanks for all your advice by the way, it is definitely appreciated.
  3. If I were to do this mod on my own, would I just need to take off the resonators and weld on new pipe? That seems too simple, I feel like I'm missing something. Any further information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  4. The very bottom 1" plastic part that just looks like an extension to the bumper/fog light housing.
  5. How do I remove the bottom piece of the front bumper? (The useless piece under where the fog lights are) Took a look at it this morning and just want to be certain of what I am doing before I potentially destroy something that could be necessary/important.
  6. That is a completely FABULOUS question sir, but I have to go with the previous response....what is it doing in a snowbank?!
  7. I wish I would have gotten pictures of it!! I have definitely put my edge to the test, its fun when you find out what it can take. For example, I found out that the SEL AWD can keep up with a new 5.7L V8 Toyota Tundra in a race( those sure aren't slow)...and can hold its own, if not beat, the Dodge Dakota v8 and the 5.9L Dodge Durango. It also does GREAT offroad (as long as you know your ground clearance). There is definitely a lot of hidden, unexpected power inside that little thing, and it definitely has never let me down. Well, maybe when it got stuck. Then again, that hill was a little much.
  8. It took me 3 snow storms, countless back roads, hours of playing around, 3 feet of snow, abandon vehicles and a down tree to FINALLY get the Edge officially stuck. Figures it can go down an unplowed road no problem, back up 90% of the way no problem because of the down tree and abandon vehicles, and get stuck at the top half of an icy/shushy hill. Too bad we had to wait for someone to finally come along with a shovel. Fortunately, I now know that I should carry a shovel and some salt next time. Otherwise, using the old floor mats behind the tires works great. Repetitive but great. Anyone else having fun with all the snow? Get stuck?
  9. I mean the Ford symbol and it's lifted molding, I've already removed the Edge, SEL, and AWD tags. Lift Off definitely worked better than Goo Gone. I've seen it on the road and on this thread http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/2856-feeler-thread-gaging-interest-in-bumperets-for-the-edgemkx/page__p__21906__fromsearch__1entry21906, but I have no clue how to go about getting it done. The second picture has the flat, clean piece on the hatch where "Ford" used to be.
  10. I have to agree on that - definitely a fan of the 3 bar grille over the billet one. I love the letters on that Flex(I think I might even have the same ones?) Do you know of a way to shave off the emblems? or do you think I would just have to take it into a customs shop? - or the dealer and have it cost an arm and a leg
  11. Maybe some of you could help me out here- I know I have seen a thread on here before about removing the front and rear Ford emblems, but I can't find it again for the life of me. Does anyone know how to remove them? I found out how to customize them myself but I don't know how to even get to the rear logo. Saw that scam thread from iKona about the bumperettes, and REALLY liked the shaved emblem look he had, so does anyone know what it takes/how much it costs to get that done?? Any direction on this would be amazing, I've looked around here for days with no luck other than the emblem overlays. Thanks!
  12. This has happened to me a couple times as well. I've only ever noticed it when I have my iPod on though. Could be coincidence, but I have never noticed it happening while there is a cd or just the radio on. I will be headed to the dealer tomorrow if it doesn't start snowing early, definitely going to have to ask them to take a look at it along with everything else that needs to be fixed.
  13. I just replaced my front dome lights and made them blue, which was pretty easy..but does anyone know how to take the cover off the lights in the back?? I tried messing with it for about 10 minutes and couldn't figure it out.
