Will the tires (p245/50r20) be thinner than normal...... as in less profile? Will the 20" wheel make it look like all wheel with plastic chrome? I can't decide whether to get the optional 20" wheel or stick with standard 18" which is also chrome clad.

Bryce: Your car is a nice color........what color is it? And yes.........I think I want the painted wheels.........maybe I can swap them out.

What is the general opinion of the optional 20" chrome clad wheels on the 2008 Limited Edge? Supposedly, they are paired with Pirelli tires. I don't really like the chrome clad but the Limited only comes that way. I wrote Ford and you cannot request the painted aluminum on the Limited.....you have to order the 18" chrome clad (standard) or the 20" chrome clad. I'm not sure what else to do since I want all the other "stuff" that comes standard on the Limited.

I emailed Ford Motor Company last week and they replied promptly concerning the production of the '08 Edge. According to the email I received, production will start August 16 and appear in showrooms 6-8 weeks afterwards. I was surprised (but pleased) I even got an answer.
