  1. Mine is a 2010 3.5 Limited. Your rear end may not have been bad and just got a bad diagnosis!!
  2. had to have ours replaced too. pretty sad with as little use as it's had, that the motor would go bad that fast! The wife wants the 2016, (only because Ford didn't throw the rest of their left over My Touch in the garbage sooner!) hope the bugs are worked out for this new model, but notice in the 15's, you still have to use to many buttons to a open a moon roof!
  3. Mobil 1 Extended Service 5-20. This oil is good for 15K miles and filter change at 7500.I rum Mobil 1 in everything I own and go 10K miles on everything else but the Edge.
  4. Two screws from where? There are many screws under there. Looks like all the screws at the front half portion of wheel well needs to be removed and pulled back, down, or at an angle, away from the inner well.
  5. Access???? Inner fender well liner need to be removed? Or is there a better/easier way to access. Thanks
  6. Installed the PIAA's, a vast, noticeable improvement! Glad I did.. Light is whiter and brighter with improved projection. PIAA Extreme White Plus, two thumbs up!
  7. Again, IMO, the so called "rust" has nothing to do with this. I say this, as someone who has worked on cars a good portion of my life. I will agree with some of Depiry response, as our Edge has the 20" wheels and noise transmission sounds logical to me too. I believe it to be materials related to these parts.
  8. Though the "rust" kind of sounds like an excuse to me, I think maybe it "could" be possible in an extreme situation. I have never, in my life , experienced this on any new car or truck I've owned, and I've owned a lot LOL. IMO, rust has nothing to do with this and I believe it is more of a characteristic of the Edge, due to the material this particular pad is made from. My son bought his new F150 the same day, a two car deal so to speak, his does not do it. I know, I'll hear, it's truck brakes. It's annoying if anything else and I know it won't hurt anything.
  9. Anyone making them for the Edge yet? The metallic Gray needs assistance..
  10. No, they don't. Would be cool if they did. Mine came with on the Limited and didn't notice if it was a dealer add on or factory option. Need to double check my window sticked..
  11. New to Edge and from what I'm seeing, Hi's and Lows are a seperate bulb? I like Silverstars, have them on my Dodge Cummins, which help a lot, but still not enough, as Dodge lighting needs serious help! Back to the Edge, I have a 2010, which Hi and Low do I need? I want to try the Ultras. I can't believe the Acura TSX we had, came with HID. Once you have them and go back to regular, you realize what you had! I also can't believe this $40K Limited doesn't come standard with HID and our $30K TSX did!
  12. Purchased a new 2010 Limited AWD for the wife's daily driver. Noticed on the demo ride, brakes sound like they have sand in them when they are cold. Went away after they warmed up, about 1 mile later. I tested another unit, it was also cold out and this unit haden't been driven either, so it was a good check. This one did it too, but no where near as bad and the grinding sound went away much quicker the ours. I kind of chalked it up to the fact that this other unit I tested had the 18" wheels and ours has the 20's. I know I can't be the only one out here that has experienced this brake noise while cold. Anyone out here chime in on this subject? I thought for a moment maybe Ford is using Ceramic pads and that could be creating this, then that thought vanished, as I chuckled and said, Naw, they wouldn't spend the $$ to put those on a production car. Of course the Salesman nor the service Dept. could answer that one either! My next step will be to replace the OEM pads with another brand. If anyone has already done this with success, please tell me which brand pads you used.
