  1. Well My car Wolfie is still in the shop today. So far it's been in twice for the same problem but this time I am not taking it back until they find and fix the problem or give me another car. The "lurching foward" prob has happened to me 4 times with less than 1250 mi all together. One of these times it's going to lurch me foward into a train or intersection. OH WHOOPS thats already happened 4 times.. good thing there was no train or cars in the intersection! Well the FORD mechanics say they have pretty much tried everything and want me to take back the car and they put a VRM box( ? ) that will record 15 seconds before and 15 seconds after it happens again, when I push the button.. Hopefully I wont be slamming into the back of another car while I'm trying to push the record button !!! I DONT THINK SO !!!! Not my job...... So I guess I will find out today how they are going to fix or replace my new car. Thank God in Oregon we have a really great lemon law, and hopefully my Ford dealership will not give me a hard time. Kinda cant afford a laywer after spending $43,000 on my Edge.... So....wish me luck everyone today's gotta be the day.... Im sick of paying so much for a car I don't have and can't drive........... PS any of you mechanics who might be able to offer my mechanics any advice I would take it to them in a heart beat....

Please read my new post and let me know my ford mech are stumped even tho I ve told them of this site and that other people are or have had this prob! I have a 2010 with 1200 new miles and its still in the shop today post name "wolfie"

  5. My baby aka "wolfie" is in the shop again. I got her Dec 5 th and she has 1278 mi on her. at around 200 mi , I was at a light and gave her gas and she didn't move just reved up a little then a loud clunking noise ,then lurched foward, then nothing, then a loud clunking noise then lurched forward agian before engageing into drive. It felt like I got hit from behind. It didn't happen again, untill about 800 miles. Then it happened again. Not as bad as the first time, so I said OMG if that happens one more time I'm going to have to let FORD know and take her in. At 1174 mi it did it again really bad like the first time. I called FORD on my cool voice activated phone and let them know. I took it in the next morning, and they had her all day. They couldn't find anything wrong execpt it was 1 qt low on transmission fluid. So I picked her up hoping it was just a computer reset or something, but 45 mi later it did it again. So she went back to the shop yesterday for another look. They said they are working with FORD enginers to find the prob and know of no known complaints or problems with this situation. Whiich is crap as I have read several and let them know. Well hopefully today they will have some news, but I'm not holding my breath as all of the posts I have read about this problem HAVE NOT been resolved. Wish me luck everyone....will post more as soon as I know anything...OH YAH.. thank God Oregon has a really strong "lemon law". Donna and her Wolfie
  6. My Edge is a 2010 and has 1278 mi...Its been in twice now for the lurching foward thing(not fixed) the first time I took it in for that they said the transmission fluid was down and added 1 qt, saying it "must" have come from the factory like that ,,,,I guess they forgot to check that under the new vechile check list before I drove it off the showroom floor....My car is at the dealer again today, for the engine not engaging after stopping. It lurches and clunks when it does, feels like I got hit from behind! this has happened 4 times since I bought her. Now that I have read this forum on the transmission oil leaking I'm wondering if mine did too !!! and they just blamed it on the "factory"...I'm worried about the car hitting somthing in front of me, when it lurches forward ! I have read some other posts about this problem with NO RESULTS...Thank God, Oregon has a very effictive lemon law...I love my car but..........................
