  1. I found these covers, referred to as "Lower Covers, Inboard," at Varsity Ford, Parts online, in Ann Arbor, MI, link: http://www.partswebsite.com/newfordparts/?i=2&make=123&model=1271&year=2009&catid=30184&subcatid=40834&section=126&type=parts Their Parts Dept can identify the specific covers for your vehicle and you do need to confirm the color of your interior before ordering. The website does not provide the Parts No. or an image, but they did confirm these were the covers needed. I was provided Part No. 8A127863386BA and 8A127863386CA for my 09 Edge with based on a Camel interior. Someone may find it interesting and need to keep in mind that the dealership from where I purchased my vehicle could not find that the covers came with the Edge after checking with their Parts Dept and viewing other Edge vehicles on their lot. There does appear to be some confusion on whether these come with the various models based on the link provided in the related post. I have forwarded the above part numbers to our dealership by email and a response is pending. Thank you for the responses posted regarding this issue.
  2. Can someone advise if there are plastic covers for the area where the rear seat bolts to the middle of the floorboard? And if so, what is the part called? This refers to the posts in the middle front of the rear seat. I checked with a local Ford dealer and was told there are not plastic covers for the middle posts, but only the outside seat rails. I've attempted to attach a photo for reference. In advance, I apologize if my searches missed an answer already posted. Thanks for your help in advance.
  3. Does anyone have a readily available resource for interpreting the “Build Sheet” for my 09 Edge. I assume I could contact my local Ford dealership or Ford Motor Co for that type document or information if no one has this available, correct? Assuming someone may be interested in where I found my Build Sheet… We recently purchased our 09 Edge SEL AWD with approximately 19.5K. While with the hood up, I noticed a very small portion of paper protruding from the mid-front area between the hood and insulation attached to the underside of the hood. I extracted the paper which turned out to be my Build Sheet or at least a portion of it, about 6 ½ inches of the top portion. The bottom edge began a missing area entitled, “Remarks: (The following information supersedes equipment requested above).” I understand from other web searches that this bottom portion of a Build Sheet describes the options for the respective vehicle. I did remove some of the tabs from the hood insulation for further search and hoping to find more of my Build Sheet, but to no avail. Any further insight or clarification as to what I’m missing in the lower portion of my Build Sheet? I understand that Build Sheets have been discovered in a variety of locations in and on a vehicle through the years. I would be interested learning where others may have found their vehicle's Build Sheet, especially if between the hood and hood insulatiion. Also, does anyone know why Build Sheets have been discovered in such unusual locations inside the vehicle, such as on top of the gas tank, inside the dash, behind the seats, etc. It would seem logical that the document would be routinely left in a visible location for inclusion with the other paperwork. Thanks for any input provided.
  4. Hey Sparky... Have you had any problems with the PTU since your post in Aug 2009? I just purchased an 09 Edge AWD with 19.5K and I have your same concerns. For reference, I was told by another forum member, "2009's are not immune. However, the problems appear to be confined to colder areas. Since you're in NC you may be outside the danger zone." However, we are in a cold weather area in the NW NC moutains with cold and snow between Oct and April so I'll see how it goes. I hope all's gone well for you and your Edge.
  5. Can anyone give suggestions on removing the tag frame attached to the front bumper of my 09 Edge? Maybe I'm missing something, but there just doesn't seem to be any way to get to those screws, apparently inserted and holding the frame from the inside out. I did search the web and the forum previously for this info but to no avail. Thanks.
  6. Thanks, but unfortunately for our Edge, we’ve received about 82” of snow in North Carolina’s NW mountains this year . While this is more than usual, our typical winter weather prompted us to go with an AWD vehicle for my wife and to supplement my 4x4 truck. Can someone advise if there been any improvement with the PTU problems for later models? Also, at what mileage does this problem usually occur, if there is a pattern? Thanks.
  7. Signing onto the forum after a web search regarding our 2009 Edge SEL AWD, 19.5K miles, purchased last week. Love the vehicle for the looks, roomy cabin, AWD, especially with the constant snow conditions this year, and other features. I must admit that I'm more than a little concerned after spending the last two plus hours reading mostly about the PTU problems with this vehicle, both on this forum and subsequent outside web searches. Someone please tell me Ford had gotten a handle on this issue BEFORE production of the 2009's! I did make a check of the vehicle for leaks before purchase, did other typical research and I feel some consolation given the Certified Pre-Owned and remaining new vehicle warranty; however, the apparent wide spread problems with the Edge's PTU makes me wonder whether I made the right choice. Thanks for the good info on all topics I've reviewed in this forum so far and I appreciate those of you with solid backgrounds and obvious experience sharing your wisdom and insight. I look forward to using the forum as a valuable resource during what I hope will be many problem free years of service from our Edge.
