Waldo, Is this an informed statement? There have been others in this forum who would say they knew that the build starts in July. Does anyone really know?

Where did you see july1? It would be my guess that if the plant was scheduled to be down July 5 week, they would be retooling for the 2011 production.

The dealer I chose, asked me who I worked for and then looked to see if i was x-plan eligible. I guess I work for a company that qualifies

I went to 3 dealers and they all gave me the same x-Plan price. I asked one dealer why his invoice was higher than what I saw on Cars.com. He said... "The invoice they use doesnt include the 54.15 Fuel Charge or the FDAF Assessment of 503.00 that Ford charges our region for advertising on every car"

It depends on where you live but I would guess that you should expect 42000 My dealerS were able the plug that option in and tell me immediately what the price was I noticed that not all dealers were willing to offer xplan until asked. Those dealers were eliminated from my list. X-plan is a simple no mess/ no haggle profit for dealers. $75 for paper work and then a few percent over invoice to cover BS

I was hoping there would be incentives when I took delivery. Sounds better than nothing! If the dates are correct, it tells me that delivery of my loaded limited Edge will be end of July or front end of august. Looking forward to a summer road trip in the ultimate gadget.

Call another dealer! The pricing has been available for over a month now. Sounds like some dealers want to clear the 10s off their lot. Kinda stupid if you ask me. A sell is a sell!!

I suggest that you check with another dealer. I was able to get 2011 pricing from 4 separate dealers as well as Cars.com. The dealers were even able to give me the x-plan pricing.

I'm just a mild mannered consumer (2011 on order) but I have seen where the first build starts on July 12. Can anyone confirm??

I'm an early adopter when it comes to gadgets. I've got a 3g iPad & plan on purchasing the new iPhone 4g in a couple of weeks. This new Edge is the ultimate gadget! I have to have it! Helping me in making my decision were all the reported issues with Camrys. I've got a 2007 Camry Hybrid (I added backup camera, iPod integration, & xm) While I haven't had the accelerator problems, I did have problems in the snow this last winter. The traction control took over and decided that it would not let ANY of the wheels spin. There was no switch to disable the traction control. I was stuck in 4" of snow!! I later learned that I could disable traction control by following six easy steps (kinda like resetting the service warning) Give me a Break! Needless to say, I ordered a AWD Edge

The dealer had the prices. I got in on the x-plan pricing If your go to cars.com, you can build and price there

I just ordered my 2011 Edge Limited. I'll be the first in Topeka, KS area to get one
