  1. You could place the iPod in the center console if you wanted. A hole would need to be created for the connector to pass through the bottom of the bin, and the wire routing would be different than we show in the installation guide, but it is possible.
  2. No pictures on the website, but you don't have to get under the hood to plug it in! The radio is easily accessable in the Edge, and all you need to do is plug the harness between the radio & the cables in the back. If you have SIRIUS, it is a little more difficult. Check out the installation guide on the Brandmotion website www.brandmotion.com. You can call the 1-800 number and ask the customer service rep for a copy of the Navigation radio manual if you need more infomation . . .
  3. The Pioneer Navigation radio in the Edge has a different layout & command sequence than the CDR & CD6 radios made for Ford by Delphi. The TripTunes Advanced was developed for the Delphi radios, and the Nav radio requires a different set of firmware than the those radios. This might be why the TT Advanced is not compatible. Brandmotion Link to Website Just introduced a Navigation compatible iPod adapter at the beginning of September. If you are interested call their sales center - (877) 276-6456 & ask about the DC PLUS for your Edge or MKX. Or you can PM me . . .
  4. Brandmotion www.brandmotion.com introduced an iPod direct connect adapter for the navigation system in September. It is compatible with the Edge / MKX & can be used with SIRIUS satellite receiver too.
  5. To anyone interested in adding iPod to their factory Navigation Radio: Brandmotion now has the iPod Direct Connect PLUS! We have lowered the price of the Direct Connect on our website to $225 from $245. There is no mention yet on our site of the PLUS adapter. However, we have the new NAV adapter and are offering it for $225 instead of $245 for 30 days only, to celebrate the launch of PLUS. To get that price, either call us at 877-276-6456 or order on-line for $225 and make a note in your order (there is a special place for comments) that you have the factory nav. We'll make sure you get the right kit. The plan is that the price will go back up to $245 on Oct.1 for the PLUS and stay at $225 for the basic version. If you have the factory navigation radio, but not a factory SIRIUS receiver, you'll want to get IPDCFD001N. If you have both you'll want the IPDCFD002N. The website doesn't have these part numbers listed so put that in the comments with the words "factory nav". Besides working with navigation, we increased the search speed and made the steering wheel controls work better for some vehicles.
  6. 'Tis true, but hope looms on the horizon . . . Navigation radio adapter is in development. Check back in July for release details. We've gotten enough comments to justify making this work - isn't market-driven business great?!!
  7. Brandmotion has an adapter for the iPod that works with the Edge OEM head-unit AND is compatible with the SIRIUS receiver. Check out their web site for details: www.brandmotion.com. The president of the company drives an Edge with the satellite receiver with one of these installed.
