I have had my 2010 edge 2 years in Nov and it has been in the shop 5 times for brake issues

TSB 10-21-2 OR TSB 10-9-9...My edge did the same thing a month ago, I actually just posted a topic about it..Take it to the dealership and mention the two TSB from ALLDATA

I purchased my Edge Nov 2009. SInce I have had my not even 2 year old vehice it has been in the shop 4 times for brake issues and about a month ago I noticed a harsh downshift and when I accelerated It felt like my transmission was slipping. I first thought traction, but it happened several times within the last couple of weeks and the traction control sensor would never come on. I took the car into the dealership for the 5th time for brake issues and mentioned the transmission issue I was experiencing. Long story short thanks to my step dad logging on to ALLDATA he pulled up a TSB 10-21-2 from Nov 2010. Thanks to him doing that , they replaced the TR Sensor and the Retaining PIn that was causing the problem. My brakes are also fixed again for the 5th time. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM DEPENDING ON YOUR TRANSMISSION THERE ARE TWO TSB REGARDING THIS ISSUE ON ALLDATA. TSB10-9-9 requires the entire transmission to be replaced and the other TSB 10-21-2 just replaces the parts mentioned above. DONOT LET THIS SLIDE TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED. the "couple of inches" was enough to crack the spoiler

The last couple of weeks when I opened and closed my hatch I would hear a loud popping noise. Took it to the dealership and it is the spoiler not lined up correctly so it is hitting the hinge. The problem was corrected with a new spoiler and they had to move it over a couple of inches. So in the future if you hear a popping noise that is what it could be.

My rims look like the top clear coat surface is peeling off. I have had the car detailed and have washed them numerous times thinking it could have been something sticky on the rims but it was not. Does anyone know what this could be or experiencing the same thing????

I DONT hate my car just upset about everything going wrong with it and it's not even 6 months old!!!

Okay well the grinding that was happening to my vehicle was not normal, and what everyone else post about was when they first drove the vehicle in the morning mine was happening ALLDAY. Either way after several visits the problem was fixed with ceramic pads and new rotors.

I had to have my brake pads replaced at 1,500 miles due to the grinding noise that happened ALL the time when I drove the vehicle, Took it to the dealership 4 times. They replaced front/rear with ceramic pads and new rotors and I have not had any issues since.

I purchased my 2010 Edge November of 2009 and have had nothing but problems. It has been in the shop 4 TIMES due to the rear brakes grinding not when I first drive it anytime of the day. Finally after getting the run around of "oh Ford does not have asbestos in the brake pads any longer" or 'oh it is moisture problems" over and over and nothing done I threatened them with acontacting a lawyer and finally something was done ..they replaced the pads and rotors. Now the driver side window is making a clanking noise when it rolls up and shakes, and the back hatch is making a loud popping noise when I open it..I mean WTF!!! Anyone else having these issues???
