Congrats, good luck with it. The only thing I don't like is the fake wood trim on the dash. I had a look at a pre-production 2011 Edge 3 or 4 months ago and the fake wood trim just made it look cheap, didn't really do it for me, oh well can't have everything my way but thats just me.. Any pics of the ass end?

I have a question about the Auto head light. When my head light switch is on auto and when I open my door the warning chime does not go off even thou the lights are still on. If I turn the switch to the on position than the chimes warns me the head lights are on. I don't think this is right? My last car had auto head lights and if I open my door the warning chime sounds. Does this happen to your vrhicle? I will read the manual in the mean time.

I have a 2010 and have no issues with the A/C. I use the upper vents and the cabin is cool and in fact need to turn it down the A/C up at times. Better than my last car a 2005 Mazda 3 which was c**p, weak and useless on hot humid days.

Not wanting to hi jack this thread but didn't want to start another so will ask here. I am in Canada, I emailed Sirius asking what their monthly charge is. They answered with a daily etc price. For 1 month it was $14.99 + tax + other fees.
I asked them what the other fees were and how much, still waiting for a reply. Gee you would think they would be up front and say. Can I do better when my 6 months of free service expires.

Can you provide more information where is the power harness located? Are there any other precautions before doing this? Will this just affect the Satellite Radio? Thank you.

We just took our 2010 Edge in for a seat squeak today. It's 6 months old. The dealership said they cannot find a problem. I have a friend of mine who works for the company who makes the seat rails for the Edge(Ford) and he tells me Ford has approached them to fix their design because people are complaining about squeaks. I believe that is why there is a backorder on the parts because they are awaiting a fix. I am going to keep taking it back to the dealer until my seat rails are replacerd with new ones. I hope this inside info. helps people out so if you seats squeak take it in and demand a replacement.
just wondering if the rails are the same for the leather and cloth seats.

Hi, I have just purchased a 2010 Edge Limited. First full sized Ford in a long time. Last Full size was a 76 Torino Brougham.
I have had a 90 Topaz and also have a 07 Masda B2300 Truck (made by Ford).
First order of business will be to obtain some accessories. Does any one know of a good Canadian Suppliers?

Try Black Again...got it from AutoGeek.net. used it on the bottom trim 3 weeks ago and it still looks as if I did it yesterday,less than $10.

I have seen them in Oakville ,Ontario where they are built ,they have some in the employe parking lot where anyone can drive into. They look really nice inside lots of new upgrades I might have to get rid of my 2007for a new model
2011 Edge Saw this one at a dealer, exterior a little different, front grillm rear lights, interior dash has some cheap looking wood trim, the dash is completely different, not sure I like it. No water temp, tach, but has paddle shifter

Judging by my own experience with the Edge so far ( and others here ), I thought I may as well start planning for brakes. I would like an upgrade of some sort, but the Steeda is out of the question. I have no doubt that it works, but is just too much cash for me.
1. I want flexible braided stainless lines for the front. No matter the vehicle, I have heard really good things about doing this. I just have to find them ...
2. EBC Red Stuff pads. I am going completely by memory, bu I think that this is the right pads for our application ( if they make it, haven't looked into that yet )
3. Don't know what to do about rotors. Crossdrilled look pretty I don't think they are right for the street. Slotted are better for street than cross, but I am still not sure about those. I had ATE rotors on my VW ( mostly highway driven and wasn't that impressed ) Hard on the pads I had and got rather noisy as they wore down. So its a different brand of slotted or plain rotors again.
Can anyone provide some insight ( personal experiences / opinions welcomed )? Where and how much I can get this stuff for in Canada would be greatly appreciated.

I hear from a friend of a friend of a friend who works at the plant and the exhaust is stainless steel with oval tips
the pictures don't really show if the tips are oval, look a bit but it could be the picture
the Mazda 6 has nice tips, see link below and rotate to the rear

Well, after 2.5 days, the dealership now think it's the cylinder heads but still no ETA on a fix (First the transmission, now this? Seems strange that they would both give the same fault codes). It's unfortunate but the dealership has been very elusive and unhelpful on this issue. This is the worst dealership experience I've ever had - no one follows up with us or calls to let us know what the status of our vehicle is and no one seems to care that this vehicle is not even two weeks old and already had a serious engine failure. The only reason we have any feedback at all is because we call them every day and not vice versa.
At this point I have my doubts as to the dealership's ability to diagnose and fix the vehicle properly or maybe its simply a case that this is not a priority for them. Will visit the dealership tomorrow and ask for an explanation and ask to see the diagnosis report and the engine fault codes. Hopefully the next follow-up will have something more positive to report.
BTW, If anyone has had a good experience with a Ford dealership in the area north of Toronto (York region), I'd appreciate the recommendations in case things don't work out with this dealership. Thanks in advance.

TSB 09-13-10.docWe just bought my wife a 2010 Ford Edge SEL, FWD and took delivery on July 2, 2010. On July 14th, the vehicle suddenly started to idle very roughly shen stopped at the light and the check engine light promptly came on. Initially I assumed this was something as simple as a sensor fault. The vehicle has now been in the shop for two days and they still do not know what is wrong with it but suspect the transmission. I have done a fair amount of research into the symptons and there seems to be a lot of discussions concerning a faulty camshaft position sensor/ camshaft phasers or exhaust control solenoids on 2007-2009 models (please reference TSB 09-13-10 3.5L/3.7L VCT CODES P0011, P0012, P0021, P0022 - RU).
I would like to ask any readers who had encountered the problem indicated with the camshaft position sensor/ camshaft phasers or exhaust control solenoids to please describe the exact symptons so that I can compare. I'm a little doubtful that the problem is with the transmission and bitterly disappointed that we have encountered such a problem in less than two weeks. I'm also concerned that the dealership hasn't diagnosed the problem properly which could, in turn, lead to a lot of headaches in the near future.
