Centerliner Posted January 16, 2011 Report Share Posted January 16, 2011 I have a 2009 AWD Limited with 38000 km and I am getting the infamous gear oil burning smell. I strongly suspect a PTU seal replacement is in order. Two questions, How many seals are there,ie, one one each axle? or what? 2) Has Ford come up with a better fix? Upgraded seal kit?
