Geez, everything you and the other respondent say are given, foregone conclusions, pure logic! I get that, I simply state the design is myopic at best! And, I dont like it! And I have the capibility of fixing it! Look at the Audi Q7, any of the MBZ that have similar roofs, they all vent with the headliner in the covered position. My Q7 vents with the glass and headliner bending to meet the angle of the glass! Ford blew this one, simple!

I have a rattle in th roof, and the dealer has ordered, basically the entire track mechinisim. Everything except the glass and motor(s) will be replaced to repai the noise?? I demanded it be repaired @ Starlite the area sun roof specialists. All this with 292 miles? Additionally, if a manufacture states they have a problem without a cure, that is the death nail for the lemon law here in Cali. Four times without repair success, the same. Whatever you do have everything documented. Lastly. tell your rep you want out. Call the BBB for options and advise as to the rules in your state. Good luck

Bond...James...dude! Didn't they teach you to read in wannaB MI6 school? No? How about in elementary school? If you read the entire post, you would know, there is no crying. My wife bought the car for our winter home, so I didn't test drive it , I can fix it however, even the moronic design of the roof.

I purchased our Edge three weeks ago, loaded AWD SEL, the only things it doesn't have is Navi and DVD. To the problem; we live in Southern California, during the summer, the days, temps easly exceed 100 degrees. With this California heat the Pano roof becomes a magnifing glass exaserbating the heat to unberable. If the car is parked out side, it can not be vented with the shade closed!!! ??? Which rocket scientest and Ford developed and supported this logic ?? The shades atre poorly (if at all) insulated?? If you live in a warm climate, this car becomes a real challenge. In addition, the roofs (shades) are not independent. If you mhave a small child or elderly person in the back the roof mus remained closed :wacko:. My dealer is going to un wind this deal and put us into a non roofed Edge. You blew this one big time Ford. If you are going to put a big boy roof in a car, better take some lessons from the big boys, Audi, MBZ, BMW all have these types of roofs without these issues.

P Purchased an Edge last week, love everrything about it except two things (one may cause us to sell the car)Panoramic roof the vent may only be used with the shades open!!!??? rendering the vent useless while car is parked in 80 degree heat + I am seeking a work around via a sunroof specialist. If anyone knows a fix let us know please. Too soft ride and too high Eibach and H&R have lowering kits. I will use the Eibach kit to drop it 2". Love everything else so far! :shades:
