Was very happy to find this site! Was going back and forth between an Edge and a Venza but once I realized there was a forum of other Edge owners and after reading about of positive things, it helped me make my purchase on Saturday.

 

Can't wait for 6-8 weeks to roll on by!

No the problem is, when you turn off the car the screen goes white. If you dont lock your doors I believe the screen stays on. But maybe he locked the doors and the screen just never shut off (thats what caused the battery drain)

OK. I see, but that's crazy. I'm having second thoughts about the Edge. I think I will wait awhile to see if they fix all these issues.

So after the car was shut off the screen turned on by itself and drained the battery?

Do I have a problem with it? Of course not. I just don't understand it. To me that seems the same as asking if a Fiesta can tow more than a Honda Fit or if you can get a child's car seat into the back seat of a Shelby GT500 comfortably.

 

So seriously - what would you do differently if it was slightly faster than the Murano vs. slighly slower?

Why would Ford go to all trouble of putting in a new 3.7 liter 305hp engine in the 2011 Sport if they didn't want it to be at least faster than the competition?

Who cares if it's faster than a Murano or Venza?

I do. Do you have a problem with what I care about?

Nice first drive, but I want to see how the 2011 Edge compares against the Nissan Murano and Toyota Venza. Why is the Sport Edge so much heavier than the competition? If it lost some weigh it would be as quick as the Venza.

This 2011 Ford Edge Sport in Kona Blue was a little dusty and I only had my phone camera with me so their not the best photo's but the Kona Blue is darker then I thought.

 

I'm sure if it was clean, polished, waxed and the sun was hitting it just right it would look lighter.

 

I also took it out for test drive, very very nice. It really does look gorgeous from all sides.

Thanks for the pics and how was the drive? The color looks good. I have my mine set on the White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat, but I want to see a pic first.

UPDATE - The 2011 Ford Edge Sport in Kona Blue is coming off the truck as we speak!

 

Geez, I have the dealership trained well.......they call me when the delivery truck is still there now! LOL.......

Please take some pictures if you can. I want to see what the sport looks like in other colors.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, some dealers have alreay received 2011 Edges and MKXs. The one I ordered didn't come in yet but my dealer receieved a red MKX yesterday which was ordered after mine. I went to see it after work and took it for a spin. It's everything I thought it would be!!

Can you give us more details of your drive? What can you compare it to?
