I don't believe you were quoted since your last reply, you chose to come back.

I don't have to be quoted to reply. We know how you feel about the ST and your posts is the same $h*t over and over again. Go email Ford and tell them how you feel.

I assure you, that's not me. I'm just appalled at the GT350 like treatment the ST is getting here. A reskinned Sport with an 8spd tranny and a "tuned" suspension. That's all it is. It's not a track carving blow the doors off the competition vehicle and neither was the Sport. I just said, the 18s on the lot would be a better buy financially cause your getting the same performance and a proven transmission for way less money.

it's not that I don't like the ST, it's just that it wasn't all that ford made it out to be, it's def not worthy of the ST nameplate. I don't believe I'm hindering you one bit from sharing your experience's though.

So now it does not live up to the ST badge and is not worthy, and we get that too that you don't like that either.  The performance is not up to the ST standard, and we understand that also. Well, that's something you will have to take up with Ford as we had nothing to do with the naming of the vehicle or building it to ST standards ?.  My experience so far has been great, and I'm enjoying the vehicle much more than my 2015 Sport. The ride and handling feel much better than the Sport, and the technology it offers is excellent.  I'm glad I extended the lease on my Sport so I could get the ST.

Ford is probably working on a Edge RS version for the future, so be sure to send them an email to make sure it meets the RS standards.?

I just said, there's not enough difference to warrant buying a ST over a new Edge Sport that is still on the lot. I stated when changing generations, nothing about model years. Also C&D has yet to review a ST. MotorTrend (would have rather used C&D...but...) pulled a 87 on skidpad with the Sport and a 88 with the ST. I'd rather have the 8spd transmission in the ST, sucks they didn't go DSG though. The vehicles are pretty much the same is what I said, and judging by the reviews rolling out, there is lots of disappointment with the ST except by people on this site which is very understandable. It's too early to judge owner impressions on the ST but from the looks of it...shit's still breaking like it was on the Sport and my Sport looks like it was built by a blind person on the outside and inside, so hopefully they sorted that out too.

We get it you don't like the ST, but there are ST owners on the forum who like their STs. You are entitled to your opinion, and you've made it clear how you feel. So can you let us ST owners and future owners enjoy our vehicles and share our experience? Please go enjoy Sport and we will not bother you.

After looking at the dyno charts something does not make sense! Based to the numbers on each chart the 2016 peaked at 91+ hp and 171+ lbs TQ.While the ST only gained 27+hp and 24+lbs tq.Even if you take into account that the ST came from the factory with 20 more hp and 30 more lbs tq (the factory gain was probably  gained by tuning)the 2016 gained 44 more hp and 117 lbs tq than the ST after both had been tuned. Other factors can come into play but 117 lbs of tq. No Way!

I have to agree with you, and something is not right with the 2016 dyno graph. How can it pick so much horsepower and torque with just a tune? Those numbers are not realistic.

I'd have to go reread some posts but it's not that big of a deal I just thought I was missing something that would make it any different than a sport.

The wait sucks lol. But my wife really wanted the rear entertainment package, which is not a common option for a dealer to order in and I really wanted the blue. No dealer around had a st on order even so in went the order. Dealer thought it would be January but I won't be surprised if it's March.

ECU tuning looks no different than a Sport as the video shows. Good luck with the wait.

I've seen a few who seem to be unsure of molding or tuning a st.

I'm still waiting on a vin and build date for mine and will likely do it after a year or 2.

I don't remember seeing any of those posts from ST owners.  There aren't many ST owners on the site anyway.  I guess you'll be getting yours sometime next year. I couldn't deal with all the waiting and just picked one up off the lot.

After reading about mwilson6192's unfortunate situation I'd be reluctant to do any mods on an Edge ST.

I'm not worried about what anyone does with their Edge ST. I'm just here to learn about this vehicle and opine from time to time.

So because one user mwilson6192's is having issues with his, you think the ST is not tune able? The vehicle in the video seems to be running fine.

Why are so many acting like this engine is such a new thing? The engine is from the sport and f150, the tyranny is the old 6 speed with 2 more gears added, the ptu is really the only new thing.  Modding it will likely be no different than other models, just less gains with tuning.

Also unless I'm missing something? You are gaining alot more in the low to mid end over stock than they are claiming, unless I am really miss reading that dyno graph.

The top end is a little disappointing though.

Some people who did not buy the vehicle seem to be more disappointed, than the people who purchased the vehicle. The majority of the users on the forum who bought the vehicle myself included are happy with it. One user has some leaks from the engine, and the dealer is taken a while to fix the vehicle. I guess because one vehicle had an issue, the user thinks we should be worried about getting it tuned.  The gains from the tune look good and should be felt.

  10. From the owner's manual:

The headlamp beams move in the same direction as the steering wheel. This provides more visibility when driving around curves.
    • Without adaptive headlamps. Please  see the attached.
    • With adaptive headlamps. Please see the attached.
    • The system only works with the lighting control in the autolamp position.  You can switch this feature on or off in the information display.
Note:  There is a delay of two to five seconds before the system operates when you drive your vehicle.
Note:  The system is only active at speeds above 3 mph (5 km/h).
      System Check
The system has a power-up movement check feature. When you start your vehicle, the lamps track left to right, then back to center to alert the driver that the system is working properly.

So adaptive headlights are not installed on the STs in the US?  I have been trying to figure out why I don't have this feature on my car since I picked it up.

The adaptive LED headlights come with the 401A package in the US. Does your Edge have the 401A package?

Thanks guys. I did perform an extensive test last night, including starting the car facing a light-colored wall (garage door) and actual driving along a windy road with no street lights. I did not notice any flashes/movement/etc from the headlights. It’s possible that it is extremely subtle and I just can’t notice it, but if so what’s the point? I’ll try again tonight to confirm.

The headlight start-up test is subtle but noticeable. If you're facing the wall and turning the steering left to right, you should see the headlights move in the same direction.

Count my wife and I as members of the ST club.  On Monday....brought home our 2019 ST in FPB color, with 401a, 21" wheel, cold weather, and block heater opts.

Although I have not driven it more than 25miles, I am very happy with the ride quality, tightness, quietness, and handling of the vehicle.  Although we are following a traditional break-in regimen so engine performance has not been pressed....I can say the engine/trans works very smoothly.  Although we were really hoping to find a non-sunroof car (our 2016 Sport had issues with the roof), we were unsuccessful in tracking one down and meeting the timeline set by Ford reacquired vehicles.  At this point, the roof on the ST seems very tight and we are hoping it stays that way.  After a day of work commuting and running errands, my wife really enjoys the ST.  She had trouble with the remote start (Ford Pass) but I suspect that is more user error on my part in setting it up.

I recall a forum member who had raised concerns about the reviews of the ST's ride quality (among some other concerns) and I can say the ride quality was our biggest concern but also a pleasant surprise.  We had 20" wheels on our 16 Edge Sport and the ride of our ST (with 21's) is as good or maybe slightly better than the 16.  I would expect a 20" equipped ST would provide an even better ride quality.  All this to say, if you have concerns about the ride quality, I would encourage you to at least take one for a spin

Congrats and welcome to the club. They're now four members with STs on the forum that I know of and the consensus is the ST rides and handles well.

Ford has been working to address some software issues.  The car that the mags. tested was a pre-production, however it should have been 100% ready to display its performance attributes.

What are the software issues they'e addressing? I haven't noticed anything that sticks out to me so far.

Without having heard the B&O I can tell you there is a huge difference. The Sony system was 390 Watts and used some really bad digital amp. Even the Sony Platinum system used in the explorer was only 500 watts. The B&O is 800 Watts and uses a better amp. The sound system has always been my biggest gripe with my edge. My $26K Dodge Caliber had a better sound system by far and was a big let down every time i crank my favorite songs in my edge.

There are no comparisons between the Sony and the B&O. The B&O stereo sounds better than, the Sony I had in the 2015 Sport.
