How is my post spam. I bought that vehicle two weeks ago having ordered it back in May. The fact we own a car dealership should have no bearing, as I am not soliditing anyone to purcahse from us and have never mentioned our dealership by name, location etc. nor will I. Others had posted pictures of their new Edges, so was just letting people see mine, in case they hadn't seen a Sport in Silver yet.

I have seen them in every color now. I am very happy I chose the silver as it contrasts the best against the Tuxedo Black trim and the wheels, in my opinion. It also goes very well with the interior trim colors. We have sold two more just like it (took orders) from them seeing this one I own. I hope all of you getting new 2011 Edges love yours as much as I do mine. My Ford Touch, SYNC, and all have worked seemlessly. My vehicle has every option you could get on a Sport and I am not regretting anything as yet. Will keep you posted should anything change. PS.. Can't believe how well it rides and drives and how quiet it is despite the 22" wheels. This had been a concern of mine, but wound up not being an issue at all.

The Tag bracket is a standard option. If the dealer does not know to request that it be deleted on the order, it will come with one. If it comes with one, FORD, at the plant, not the dealer installs it. They no longer send them in bags to the dealer, they come preinstalled or not at all. SO.. if you don't want one, you better remind your dealer to delete that option from your order when they place it, or you won't have a choice.

I hope you get your vehicle close to that date, however, my experience as a dealer is that we don't get the vehicle for up to 30 days after it is built. We have never received a vehicle within a week of its build date. I too have and Edge being built on the 30th of August, but am not expecting to see it before mid Sept at the earliest. Our Sales Rep with Ford that handles our orders has told me the same.

Oklahoma. They should be able to log into their order bank and know exactly what is going on. I am sorry you aren't getting any assistance!!

Howdy everyone!! My new 2011 Edge Sport has been assigned a VIN and now has a build date of Aug. 30. Assuming all goes as it should it should arrive at our dealership in late Sept. I am a D-Plan Buyer and my wife currently owns a 2008 Loaded out Limted AWD. I am jazzed about the new powetrain, transmission, and technology, and am glad Ford finally made the Sport something other than just a cosmetic upgrade. As soon as I get to drive it and see all about it, I will post my thoughts. It's retail was over $40,000 as I added every feature/option you could to an AWD Sport model. It is going to be Ingot Silver. I hope those of you who are also getting 2011 Edges get them soon and enjoy them. I will look forard to your thoughts of the vehicle as well. And BTW I am a dealer and I was able to access this information via our Ford access, so I don't know why anyone's dealer would not also be able to provide them with build dates, etc. Our Ford Sales Rep told me that though we all ready have two stock unit Edges built, that my Sport will actually deliver befoe them due to their going back in to have some final tweaks performed on them after testing and that mine will all ready have on it being built at a later date after testing was completed.
