  1. If you went to your owners manual, THEY DO GIVE INSTRUCTIONS, and if a problem STILL existed, there is a phone number to call. When I got my ipone4s a year+ ago, I had issues, called the number, and the person was very helpful getting my issues resolved. I'd go down to the garage to get the book to see exactly what. it said, but I just had back surgery, so I really don't feel like going down to the garage..

  2. Akirby - Glad a stretch helped you out. Actually, the surgery wasn't that bad, had the staples removed today, 10 days after surgery. Now, I have to take things a bit slow for a while, and no heavy lifting. I'm glad that P/T worked for you. I tried chiropractic, P/T, acupuncture, and message therapy, finally had the MRI, and now it's all history. I just want tom point out to arielc that back issues are not to be taken lightly.

  3. I had a girl 'coast' int the bumper on my MKX, same scenario - her license plate put a hole in my bumper. No easy fix, dealer filled hole, repainted, HER insurance took the bite. I hated for her dad's insurance to get involved, but I wasn't about to drive around my 'mint' MKX with a hole in the back. It's silver ingot, and the hole looked like a bullet hole.

  4. Sorry it got totaled, but you're probably better off-it probably wouldn't be the same. I Hope that you get some decent bucks for it. Careful with the back. I've done chiropractic for MANY years ( 20+ ), and has helped in most instances, EXCEPT for the last time. Had daily pain, kept on going for adjustments, and never got better. Went to a orthopedic doctor, had a MRI, and just a week ago, I was operated for herniated & bulging discs. Thank god I had it checked out, I could have been going, and going for chiropractic adjustments, and have gotten nowhere. Don't mess with the back & spine, it's the central nervous system in there. I wound up going to a neurosurgeon, he did wonders. :worship:

  5. I just had to post this. I love reading reviews in Motor Trend, Car & Driver etc, on how much better foreign cars are over American cars. I've had American cars, and 1 foreign, and most have been Ford products. Will continue to do so. Usually, towards the end of the article, they will give a review, including regular maintenance costs. Even a Honda CR-V will have routine oil change/tire rotation cost around $75, and in MANY cases, well over $125 ! My friends RX350 costs over $160, while with my MKX, I get 4 years for free ! Even with my wife's '09 MKS, a oil change, tire rotation & 32 multi-point inspection costs $39.95, and I get a complimentary car wash and vacuum ! Thank you Ford Motor Company for keeping my costs down, and a special thanks you to our dealer, MAPLECREST FORD/LINCOLN in Union (Vauxhall), New Jersey. Have been with them almost 6 years, and very happy, especially with their service department. ! :)

  6. Sorry to read that some of you out there are so ANTI American (especially Ford). My '12 MKX has been great, and ditto for my wife's '09 MKS.

WWWperfznow, sorry you feel the way you do. We had 2 foreign cars - a Subaru & a Accord. Decent cars, but far from trouble free. Been doing Fords since 1992, now Lincolns, and been very happy with both, and doing it the American Way. True, foreign cars are now manufactured in the states, but who reaps the rewards- NOT US !

  7. I have my '12 MKX a little over 2 years, and really love it. Looked at the Edge, liked it a lot, but wanted heated and cooled seats, Power tilt n telescoping wheel, and a few other diddies. It does ride quieter than the Edge. A neighbor has a '12 Edge, and said that my MKX is much quieter and smoother. The Edge is really nice, but the "X" is just that much nicer. Either way, you can't go wrong. :love_shower:
