  1. Where can you find details on this? I am in the process of buying a new Edge and have financed with Ford Credit previously. Have not finalized the deal so I could certainly use the extra $.

Your dealer should be able to locate the program in their system. I don't have the exact promo code for it but 3 different dealers verified it on top of the 1500 retail cash (and applicable with A/X/Z plans).

  2. I will take issue and disagree with you there. I have an 11 MKX on order and was bummed doing my research that 22" rims were not available. I'd love 22" chrome on my black/black MKX (as long as they were a nice style). I don't care for the black inserts on the Sport but the wheels overall are very cool.

?? You'll take issue then agree with me? I didn't say every 22 on the MKX would look funny, just the ones from the Sport. Straight spoked chrome 22s would like nice (like a bigger version of the 18s on the limited)

  3. Impressed by the drive. Definitely more road feedback than the new limiteds but still better than the 07 AWD SEL we have now. And MUCH quieter. Still concerned about the winter driving but we'll see how it goes. I see Yokohama makes Prada SpecX for those which are great tires. (All season)

  4. Just reporting back with info for others... indeed the leases on the 11s are pretty poor. Below are figures for the Limiteds:

(Based on a 12k mile per year lease), Both rates are 4.25% through Ford Credit (to get the money factor for leasing divide by 2400)

    27 month - residual of 64%

    39 month - residual of 56%

The Sport residual is 1% less and the rate is the same so it leases even worse.

FYI for anyone who qualifies, A/Z plan pricing is about $4075 off MSRP for the limited we spec'd (quick order 1A plus BLISS, Towing Package and Red color with the upcharge)

    Hope that info helps someone.

  5. I hear what you're saying on competing with the Lincoln and agree except for 1 thing, I don't know ANY Lincoln buyers who would buy the Sport because of the 22s. They are a little flashy for your typical Lincoln buyer IMO. It is disappointing and may be a couple of the reasons why we stick with the Limited instead. Also, I believe it's been referred to as the "top of the line" Edge because it is in fact the most expensive version of the Edge available if equipped the same as the Limited.

  6. I also had HIDs for years now. I have a sport now and I am satisfied with the lights. I dont know if I would switch to a limited just due to the light issue. I think you will like the other features that the sport offers more than a light change. If it bothers you that much then you can always retrofit something for your lease term. I prefer the paddle shift and tires and bigger engine over the lights.

    good luck with choice

Speaking of the bigger engine, how does it feel in day to day driving? I've read the AWD Sport is actually a half second slower to 60 than a FWD Limited and about the same FWD vs FWD due to weight increases and getting those 22s rolling. I'm hoping it shines when you're already moving and need to make some power from the 40-60mph range.

  7. Yeah, please don't misunderstand my post. I was just wondering if this was a known software glitch to be fixed or an actual issue with this 1 vehicle. I'm still getting an Edge, just not sure which model yet! :) Honestly, for me it's all about the service department being able and willing to address any needs that may come up. On a postivie note, I do have to say the interior is very much an upgrade from the already decent one of our 07 Edge. Softer materials and padding in touch areas are nice upgrades. Not to mention it's a tech person's dream! :)

  8. We were test driving a new Limited AWD today and noticed the backup camera would occassionally be blacked out/not work at random and at other times be fine. Is this a known bug or should this be a concern to check if we indeed decide to purchase that exact vehicle? If we put it into park then back into reverse it was fine. Maybe a loose connecter? Little concerning on a brand new $40K+ vehicle. Still working on that Sport vs Limited decision though.
