Woohooo! Not only does that mean our new Sport is almost ready, it means it'll come from the factory with the most current code update (if I'm reading this right?!?).

  2. I personally would cancel it all. Although I am not sure that the Ford ESP is a bad thing to have, I am certain you can get a much better deal online. Any new ford dealer can sell ESP, and many will sell it very close to cost. I picked my 6yr/100K ESP for $910 at Flood Ford, but there are several other dealers offering similar prices.

Can you give me a few details on that? Was that a PremiumCare ESP and what was your deductible? Which yr/model of Edge? That seems like a great price! Been trying to get dealer cost info on the PremiumCare w/ 100 deduct for 6 yr/75k or 85k warranties.

  3. Unless you get some snow stick with FWD. We went AWD because we get quite a bit but otherwise I'd save the money and a bit of mileage and weight. Leasing on these vehicles is pretty poor at the moment so we bought but programs change so who knows. Either way, this is one heck of a ride.

In terms of wind buffeting, it's bad with all the windows up but I found if you crack both back windows an inch or so it goes away. (But it has to be both, not just 1 side)

  4. Honestly, I feel like the Sport with its 22s is about the same ride (better handling by a little) than our 07 SEL with its 18s. The new Limiteds with 18s was amazingly smooth for a vehicle that size. The look of that Sport is just too awesome to pass up IMO. My wife loves the color matched rocker panels and I love the rims... win win! :)

  5. Yeah, I'd tell my dealer to get bent if they want to charge for something on a brand new car that takes all of 5 minutes to complete. Not a great way to build a solid customer relationship, sheesh. Excited to hear if this fixes some glitches (and hopeful it makes it into the one we ordered a few weeks back!)

  6. "0-60 MPH was hitting 4.84 seconds with power lift running 3000 rpm"

An Edge...seriously? Come on, with the weight and those HP numbers alone that is not happening. Simple math can tell you that. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for programmers either for a small boost, improved mileage or just better overall shift firmness but seriously... this thing is not doing sub 5s unless you strap either a rocket or turbos to it.

  7. Here's my question, dealer told me that Ford no longer allows you to lock in programs/rebates at the time of order but rather you get what is current upon receipt. I know that's valid for interest rates but for Ford rebates that doesn't make sense. Kinda rolling the dice to see how much it'll cost that way IMO. Can anyone confirm?
