  1. Another thing to check is the Sirius Travel Link system. It is accessed by pressing the "i" button. It is the service that gives the weather, sports score, fuel prices and movie times. We're supposed to get a six month free subscription to all these services. However, when I checked none of the Travel link services were working and five of the eight services were listed as "unsubscribed." Sirius and Ford have been working on it since Tuesday last week, but they still haven't been able to fix it. Very frustrating.
  2. I ordered the cargo cover too. As soon as I took it out of the package, I returned it. I haven't seen anything else out there, but I'll keep looking and let you know if I do.

  5. Thanks. Guess that isn't the problem. Mine still isn't working. The issue has been "escalated" by both Ford and Sirius. We'll see.
  6. Here is a really cool feature. If you have a smartphone with a barcode scanner, scan the image I've attached to this post. Your phone will automatically go a website with a 2011 Ford Edge quick reference manual designed for use with a cell phone. If scanning this image doesn't work, the image is on the inside cover of the 2011 Edge DVD.
  7. Sorry to hear that, it is a very cool feature. I'm a little skeptical of that answer since several of us in the US are having the same problem. Also, it is a satellite based system. Last time I looked at a map Canada was under the same sky as the USA. Just curious, in Canada, do you see the commercials where the woman is using the weather and fuel prices feature? Those are part of the Sirius Travel Link system. If it doesn't work in Canada, they shouldn't advertise it in Canada. I live in Colorado. I wonder what their answer to me is going to be. I can tell you right now, if they can't get this thing working, they are going to have a very unsatisfied customer on their hands.

  10. Here is the MyFord Touch Supplement My Ford Touch Supplement.pdf
  11. Ok, let's try this again. Here is the 2011 Ford Edge owner's manual See attachment 2011 Edge Owners manual.pdf
  12. That Hazard button is a hazard. If I breath on it too hard it goes off. Glad to see I'm not the only one. Check out my post about linking the IA Key with the seat & mirror memory settings. if you follow the owners manual it won't work. My post tells you how to do it right. Another little thing I found. I have a Zune music player. You'd think that would work perfectly with a Microsoft system like MyTouch, right? I thought so too. But, it didn't work, at least not right away. It kept telling me it wasn't compatible and there were no media files on the player etc. If this is happening to you, don't give up. Leave the player plugged in and let MyTouch index it for a while. After some time, MyTouch "indexes" the player and it works fine. If fact the verbal commands work great. Browsing the alburns with albumn art turned on is very slow though.
  13. Glad your is working lakleeman. It is a cool feature and I can't wait for Ford & Sirius to get mine fixed. Can you do me a favor? Can you look at the setting menu for your travel link and find the ESN. Is the ESN for your travel link different than the Sirius radio ESN. Mine are the same and Sirius says that ain't right and may be the problem.
  14. Ok this one is Fiexed!!! Yea!!!. If your having this problem, read on. The dealership had no idea what to do about this. They said they were on the phone with Ford for a hour, but still couldn't fihure it out. They gave me back the Edge and told me there were ordering a new seat module, due in next week. When I got home, I kept workingwith it and found the problem. Do not do step #4 in the programming process described in the owners manual!!!! The manual gives the following instructions: Programming the memory feature to the transmitter To activate this feature: 1. Move the driver seat and power mirrors to the desired positions using the associated controls. 2. Press and hold button 1 for five seconds. A tone will be heard after about two seconds confirming memory position has been set. Continue to hold until a second tone is heard after five seconds. 3. Within three seconds press "icon for lock th door". 4. Press "icon for unlock" <---------- Do not do this!!!!!!! It actually clears the programing you just entered. Wait at least 20 seconds before you press unlock!. 5. Repeat this procedure for memory 2 and another transmitter if desired. Now when my wife presses unlock on her IA key, the seats and mirrors automatically move to her position and when I press unlock on mine, they change to my positions and I don't have to have my knees hitting he in the chest. Yeah!! I call the dealer tomorrow and tell them not to order the module. :hyper:
  15. The five out of eight services unsubscribed is the exact same problem I have. My local dealer has been told not to attempt any further repairs. Supposedly Ford engineering is aware of the problem and is working on it. Once it's fixed, I'll update and let you know how they fixed it.
  16. Not that I can see. The manual says "MyKey" can let me program one of my IA keys so that the car can't go over 80 miles an hour or the stereo can't be played higher than 45 percent of volumn. They say it is for teenage drivers. But it doesn't seen to have anything to do with linking the memory positions
  17. It came with a 6 month trial membership for Sirius, Sirus Traffic and Sirius Travel Link. They went through all kinds of stuff trying to get the travel link to work with the trial membership, but it wouldn't. So I said I'd just pay the $280.00 for a full year membership with all those features, hoping that would fix the problem. Turned out all it did was screw me out of the six months free trial membership and the Travel link still doesn't work..
  18. I ordered my 2011 Ford Edge in June. I ordered a Limited with the full 302A package, towing package, premium paint and 20" wheels. Everything I could think of. It was finally delivered two days ago. I was so psyched!!! However, things are starting out pretty bad. Among other problems (see my post about Sirius Travel Link not working) the cool new "Intelligent Access" (IA) keys will not link with the memory positions. This was a big selling point for me. I am 6'1" tall and my wife is 5'5". I was pretty excited at the idea of just pressing unlock and having the seat an mirrors move into position for me. We're following all the instructions to the letter, but it just won't work. I've spent the past two days at the dealership. Looks like I'll be spending a third there tomorrow. Bummer!!!!! Any ideas. I know these cars are very new, so I'm not too hopeful, but you never know.
  19. I ordered my 2011 Ford Edge Limited at the beginning of June. I bought the 302A package, towing, 20" wheels...the works. I couldn't wait for it to arrive. However, I am very dissapointed because the Sirius Travel Link system doesn't work. The Sirius radio works, but none of the cool Travel Link features like Weather, Sports, Movies etc. work. No matter how much we talk to Sirius and no matter how many times they send the signal, the services keeps showing "Unsubscribed." Yes, I am subscribed to all the services and their account shows this. Sirius finally had me take it back to the dealership where they performed a "Hard re-boot" That didn't work either. Now the problem has been escelated to "Ford Engineers." I am soooo bummed. Anyone else have a similar problem or have any ideas?
