  1. When I turn the Edge on, I would like the center console screen to default to the music full screen page, for example, and not the one it does. I always have to reach over and hit the red bar to get the entertainment info full on. Can you do this? Also, I don't see a way to set the wallpaper image as any kind of home screen. What's the point of that, if I have to hit home and then select the wallpaper page. Am I missing something? Thx!
  2. I was coming in to ask if there was a "keyless exit" somewhere. ie., my keys are buried in my pocket somewhere. I can walk up, door handle and get in, start car, all without digging for the keys, but when I get out and leave, I have to dig for the keys. This two button solution will let me lock the doors from outside, and my remote unlock and everything will still work fine?
  3. What would be the point of a digital speedometer when there is a big analog speedometer in the middle?
  4. This is all really complicated. All I want to do is turn on dash and floor vents, control the amount of air coming out and decide whether I want it warm or cold. When it is cold outside, I have to crank it down to 62 to not get burned by the heat coming out. Then eventually that will cool off too much, and I need to raise it back up. So I drive around punching these buttons back and forth to get it to a comfortable level blowing out. So, it's trying to get my interior to that number based on the temperature outside? Is there any way for me to just say that I want warm or cool air to come out?
  5. Thanks for the tips. The "water spots" are apparently tire black from the car wash getting flinged back. I also get the spots on the paint areas, and that's a pain to get off with the mist.
  6. What do you use to touch up the black exterior plastic areas? Like under the doors, etc. It's got sort of a rougher texture. It's "clean" but showing water spots, I guess. I waxed the paint areas with Megular's 1 step clean/wax and then touching up with their quick mist spray to get marks and such. The plastic, though, I don't have anything for.
  7. I have a "hobby", thanks, no need for your attempts at humor. I'm just saying, reading the forum would be more enjoyable if I didn't have to scroll down 800 pixels _every time_ a page loaded. Every site I go to doesn't waste the entire "front page" with only google ads. Heck, look at facebook. Or even google.
  8. I don't see any link here on the site to pay a membership fee that would stop me from seeing the ads. Or are you talking about something else? A forum like this with a minimal audience should hardly cost anything to run, bandwidth-wise.
  9. I read a dozen or more forums a day, and none of them has advertising that takes up an entire page of scrolling before you see contact. All putting the advertising so obtrusively does is make me not want to spend time here scrolling through them. Are you saying there's a membership fee to lose the ads?
  10. Is there a way to lose the ads at the top? Every freaking page, I have to scroll down an entire page length to get to the content. Hurts my finger.
  11. The only time I see it appear is when you touch MENU and choose the top most of the three.
  12. I totally agree with the OP, so much so, that I posted that observation in another thread. It is really far forward, and the leverage is too close to the pivot hinge.
  13. I got the same thing. Bordeaux, with Sienna. Initially, I didn't want the Bordeaux, but I like it now. Very sparkly. I'm the kind of guy things end up just not mattering after a while anyway. I didn't want the BAMR. But it was on the one on the lot. Whatever. Let me have it.
  14. Sticker $40,800, Paid 37,500. In Missouri. Bordeaux Limited with RapidSpec2 package. 20" wheels.
  15. I just bought my 2011 Edge yesterday. Thought I'd share two things I found slightly annoying. The grip on the front doors (ie, the door handle) is very far forward, to me. It's closer to the pivot (the hinge) then any other car I've driven. Takes a little more leverage to close the door. The turn signal column is just far enough away (far enough back) from the steering wheel, that in my relaxed, rest my hand on the wheel and drive, position, I can't reach it with my ring finger to click the signal on. It's just far enough away, where I have to change hand positions to flick it. Aside from that, I'm having fun. More to come, I'm sure.
