  1. I found the thread that covers all of my questions.
  2. OK, thanks to you all, I've found the cabin air filter on my 2007 MKX , which my maintenance schedule says should be changed every 15k miles. However, th schedule also says to change the " climate controlled seat filter" every 30K miles-definitely different than the cabin air filter. Anyone know where this is? Also, no where in the schedule does it call for a CHANGE of the fuel filter. Is this just an omission? Is it part of the fuel pump? Otherwise where is it? Thanks
  3. Good Hands, Where did you get your avatar?
  4. Anyone locate a nice Lincoln hitch cover for an MKX?
  5. Thanks a lot. I loved my MKX until I found out today that my thermometer is one degree higher than actual. On the other hand, it's 3 degrees better than yours. :hyper: I guess that's what you get when you pay an extra $10k. :shades:
  6. AWD here because that what came with the color of the car my wife selected off the lot. :hyper:
  7. Thanks. With pictures no less. I'm impressed.
  8. My wife says there are no cup holders for rear seat passengers in her MKX. But, shortly after purchase, I put rear seat seat covers in to protect the seats from our dog. I suspect that there are cup holders in the section between seats that pulls down. Am I correct in that assumption? P.S. I apologize in advance for the question, but the seat covers are a bit of a pain to remove and it's raining outside.
  9. My wife named hers Betty, after Betty White, because she thinks she's ditzy. Sometimes Betty has said to make a legal U-turn and then gone on to give other directions.
  10. Thanks. They said they are going to replace the amplifier. They needed to order one. This is getting rather old. I've been there 4 times now without resolution.
  11. So the new radio comes in and they install it only to find out that there is no sound. Now they don't have a clue what's wrong, but they said they need the car for a day to "check out the wiring." I hope this resolves quickly. Anyone have any ideas?
  12. Thank you so, so much. Your answer is just the kind of thing I was looking for. I'll take it to the dealer tomorrow morning and let him access the system. Just curious. How did you know to do this test?
  13. The sound quit on my Lincoln MKX radio. No crackling, no buzz, nothing. The radio otherwise seems to work. Checked the mute button and that's not the problem. Is there a fuse that controls just the speaker system? I have only 1000 miles on the car and didn't want to wait for the first oil change to get this fixed. On the other hand, I hate to wait that long.
  14. Now I know what they mean when they say, "There's an ass for every seat."
  15. We have the Michelin Latitude HP's on our MKX. These tires were rated very well on tirerack. They are partly responsible for the handling and ride comfort. I don't know if they improve braking, but as I said, the braking on our MKX is just fine.
