Mine came with Hankooks....is this a name brand in disguise? I've never heard of the name before.....once they wear out, I'll be putting on Goodyear or Michelins.....

I also don't see any difference in the shifter.....I prefer less chrome, myself....and the red inserts in the seats.....kind of ghetto....

DRLs are as useless at teats on a bull....it's just something General Motors started in 1995...Thank God Ford doesn't have them as a standard item...

Government is too intrusive in our lives as it is...just because some of the ''sheep'' out there don't know enough to turn their lights on at the appropriate time, doesn't justify laws mandating DRLs. If you want to drive around with your lights on during the day, fine and dandy...but, I shouldn't be forced to....there is no great body of evidence to show that DRLs reduce accidents...

Polarized sun glasses elimante 99% of the glare.... I recently took a trip to Maine from Maryland....drove 5 hours without stopping....a new record for me....I find the seats very comfortable... An Edge priced out in the 40's???? You go to that Watertown Ford rip off dealer in Boston?????

Daytime running lights have to be one of the stupidist ideas to come along in ages....You poor people in Canada....thank God the US doesn't mandate them!!

Good thing sour6116 didn't have those on it's Edge....that is messed up, though....someone was asleep on the QC line....maybe one of the welding robots called in sick that day...

Personally, I like to keep my ride stock as it came from the factory....I don't like the tires, never heard of the company, but I'll wait until these wear down before I buy something else...Its the same when I restore an old car....paint has to match what it was from the factory, etc....The only exception would be if I had, for instance, a 1964 Galaxie 500XL convertible....I'd put some Crager SS on that puppy....but, to each his/her own....I've seen some stuff I like, but would never do to my Edge......

Posting the same question in several places in the same forum is an annoyance.....one needs only post the question once under the appropriate heading, and will eventually get a or several replies,..

That is the one thing Ford does have to address....the roll back....I believe one of the engineers involved with the transmission posted here earlier that Ford wouldn't listen when told of the problem....the best thing to do at this point, when on an incline, is hold the brake with the left foot, and apply a little throttle with the right....I know, I know, "this shouldn't be happening, etc.", but that's the way it is for the '07 models....I consider it a minor inconvience...one has to adapt....you know about the problem, so take appropriate action. From what I understand, there is no fix for this.

I was told that a replacement key would be @ $200-$300 dollars...........They are programmed with a chip that will only work on the one Edge it came with.......Ain't technology fun sometimes??

I had a '72 Cougar XR7 convertible...351C-2V engine....Ginger Metallic with White Leather interior, and a white top....it was SWEET.....everything lit up on that....it was totaled in 1986 by some asshole who hit it in front of my house...the force drove it into a telephone pole, and bent the poor thing in half....not my best time....everything had worked perfectly on that baby, even the sequencial turn signals.....

The PRNDL strip light up on my Edge....gets brighter or dimmer, with however you set the instrument panel lights at.....someone must have forgot to connect a wire or something....and, it lit up on the two Edges I test drove as well........................

You don't think the Edge is fast off the line??? Tromp that gas pedal to the floor, and hang on to the steering wheel...it kicks ass! Gas mileage has been a consistant 21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway since day one. I have almost 13,000 miles on it now....

Ford is not in that much financial trouble....Ford of Europe is very profitable...very...and, Ford's realestate holdings in the US alone are tremendous....

The Turtle Wax Ice wax/polish that has come out is EXCELLENT for all the flat black and annodized surfaces....really makes them look great....you can use it on the whole car, in direct sunlight, but I just use if for the black areas....lasts a long time, too...

You don't drive it too much, do you???? I picked mine up on Feb.28th, and it just turned 12,500 miles.....The dealer offered to do the first oil change for free, but I'd rather do it myself....I only use Pure 1 Purolator filters (or Baldwin[or Wix in a pinch]) and the Motorcraft synthetic blend oil.....I used to be a faithful Fram user until I read this study that I'm posting a link to....defiantely worth reading....it will open your eyes..... Very nice...I got the stock wheels, too....got a pleasant surprise of a $500 rebate when we picked up the car 'cause everyone was ordering the optional wheels, and Ford needed to move the stock ones.....I just like them better than the "chrome" ones The picture was taken last Wednesday at York Beach, Maine at Brown's Ice Cream....A must visit place if you are ever in the area......I'm originally from ME., and just went back for my 35th high school reunion...
