  1. Idle is @ 550-600 rpm....yes, you will roll backwards on an incline with the trans in drive....this is something Ford needs to correct.....as to the premium gas....if you use a top tier gasoline (toptiergas.com) such as Shell, there is no need to use anything but the 87 octane the engine was developed to use....using higher octane gas just puts more profit into big oil's pockets, and takes more money out of yours needlessly.....

  2. As to the topic at hand....Do all you complainers have Edges made before Jan. 07 of this year?? (sour6116, no need to answer)....Mine was made Feb. 18, and I have absolutely no complaints about anything at all. The odometer just turned 12,500 miles, the air blows as cold as sour6116's heart, no complaints about blower force (I refrain from the crude, but accurate remark I could make about the sour one)...nothing has fallen apart, come loose, turned color....no rattles, shakes, or malfunctions.....maybe the forum(s) just attract people that just like to find fault and complain (ahem...sour6116), I don't know.....

  3. It is my understanding that Ford is paying for 3 years of Sirius.....When I got the Edge on Feb. 28th, Ford was paying for 3 months....then about a month later, the ads started saying 3 years...I think everyone previous got grandfathered in.....

Mel Karmazan (sp) the CEO of Sirius, was on the news recently....if and when the merger goes through, the basic subscription (50 channels) would be $6.99 a month...each extra channel you might want not in the basic package would be 25 cents (that's right ..... 0.25) a month extra....the one exception I heard was, to include Howard Stern, would keep your sub. at $12.95....worth every penny, as far as I'm concerned......I've listened to Howard Stern since he was here in DC in 1981...going to Sirius was the best move he's ever made...the show in 1000 times better in all respects, and very few commercials....say what you want about Howard, but he is the BEST interviewer in all media....sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent....so, anyway, as was stated by the previous poster, it's $12.95 a month, each additional radio you might have is $6.99 a month, and, your subscription also lets you listen to Sirius over your computer via internet for free....there is an enhancement feature for the computer listening which improves the sound quality on the music channels for $2.99 a month, but isn't really needed....I have it, but am switching jobs, and will no longer be able to listen to Sirius at work....

  4. The "D" plan is the employee discount plan....that's how I got my Edge....thru my brother-in-law, who is the parts manager at a local Ford dealership....it amounts to a 10% discount...the employee has to get a pin # to use it, and is only allowed, if I remember correctly, 4 "D" plan purchases a year......

  5. I suppose if one works at the supposed "largest Ford dealer in the world", where ever that might be, makes you a freakin' expert in all things Ford....or, is it a Kalifornia thing....maybe it's just something special for those that have "winter homes" as opposed to "summer homes" or "fall homes"...do you look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how wonderful you are, or do you have people do that for you???

Also, I don't know where you get this Bond wanna be sh*t....I never said anything about wanting to be a James Bond type.....I enjoy the movies, and I think Daniel Craig is going to make an excellent Bond, right up there with Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan.....

I do have a picture of you, bleeding edge....it's very appropriate....enjoy....post-1197-1186794103_thumb.jpg

  6. Geez, everything you and the other respondent say are given, foregone conclusions, pure logic! I get that, I simply state the design is myopic at best! And, I dont like it! And I have the capibility of fixing it! Look at the Audi Q7, any of the MBZ that have similar roofs, they all vent with the headliner in the covered position. My Q7 vents with the glass and headliner bending to meet the angle of the glass! Ford blew this one, simple! :finger::censored:

So, sell your Edge and buy a freakin' Audi or Mercedes....don't bellyache about something you should have taken note of before you bought the vehicle....oh, wait....it's the wife's fault, because you were not with her....how convenient....you must be one of those sleazy lawyers....but, aren't they all??

  7. I've had my Edge SEL+ for close to 6 months now....the Audiophile system, IMO, is excellent...I listen to Sirius constantly, the wife CDs...we are both pleased with the sound and quality of the system. We didn't get the nav system, as we are both quite adept at reading maps...didn't get the AWD system, either...I wanted to, but, the wife (who knew when you grew up and got married you'd be getting another mommy....) didn't want it...since she is driving it the majority of the time.......of course, going from a 400HP to a 265HP vehicle would have a difference....I think the Edge kicks ass.......remember, it weighs @ 4500 pounds....

  8. I'm not here to sell the car and as you can tell I’m replying to another post for another Ford Edge for sale... If you think that $40,000 for a fully loaded to the gills Ford Edge with 22s and a body kit put on and painted is a lot money they maybe it's not a vehicle for you. Believe it or not we don't make a lot of money selling new cars... we only $500-$900 on a new car from Ford but that’s neither here nor there. Any feedback on our is welcome, tell us what you think :)

You really, really must think that we were born yesterday, or just came in off the farm......you really are a "floor whore", aren't you? Dealers make a lot more money of cars than that...consider, I got my Edge on the "D" plan, which knocked $3000 off the price....most of the people buying Edges don't get the employee discount...and, a new model, very little, if any, reduction in the MSRP. I can feel the sleaze ooz out of you from here in Maryland....did you work for the current Bush administration? You sound just like one of them...Maybe the crack dealers in Boston like that sh*t...go peddle your junk there.......This is just my opinion, of course....However, I will let my friends and relatives that live in your area know to avoid your dealership like the plague.....

  9. Didn't you test drive the vehicle before you bought?? Didn't you try everything out and ask questions from your sales rep.? You must have noticed the height of the Edge from the outside...and, if you test drove one, you knew how the handling/ride was....if you did, then why the crying? If you didn't, then it's your own fault.
