I'll be picking up my Edge on Tuesday 22nd February after ordering on December 20. Total time, just under 9 weeks.

My salesman phoned today and said that the Edge LTD is coming during the week of February 14 (ordered Dec 20). He will phone back with the VIN. Woot!

They use galvanized steel panels so actual rust would be unlikely unless the zinc coating was missing at that point.

It is a great colour. I feel bad now as I didn't believe the dealership when they told me it was an extra.

Welcome to the (not so) patient waiters. I've been waiting for a month without a peep from the dealership. Out of curiosity, was the metallic red subject to an extra charge?

Ordered my 2011 Edge Limited all wheel drive on December 20 and still no word from the dealer about delivery. They say it will be about 8 weeks. Canadian purchases seem to have a longer wait in spite of the factory being near here. We have a lot of add ons - in fact (I like toys) it pretty well has everything on it. It would be nice to try it out on some snow and ice before it's all gone.

I'm in Toronto. I'll bug the dealer again next week.

This is somewhat depressing. I ordered an Edge 2011 SEL just before Christmas and I'm settling in for a long wait. My old 2000 Ford Focus was used in the retire your ride program - hope it can make it to the finish line!

Thanks. I also selected the Adaptive Cruise Control package and that comes with the HID lights. I ordered it last night - quite a lengthy process involving proof that I had insured my Focus for the past 2 years and that it was still registered (Retire Your Ride Plan); Costco membership details for the extra $1000 off plus Ford Plan info. They tried to charge me extra for metallic paint but relented when I looked as if I was about to walk. Today will find out how long the wait is.

Hi everybody, I'm ready to buy the Limited AWD and will be placing an order on Monday. Here are the packages I'll be ordering: Vision (Blind Spot information system, cross traffic alert, rain sensing wipers) Driver Entry (Perimeter Alarm, Push Button Start, Power Liftgate, Remote Start) Canadian Touring (Vista Roof, Navigation) I was wondering about the ambient lighting - is this a feature to bother with? I noticed that the self parking system isn't offered in Canada - I wonder why - maybe our snowbanks are too high! BTW, this is a great forum with a ton of useful information.
