The only things I'd recommend to prevent rust on a vehicle are: clear bra, lots of washing during the winter (especially underneath the car), and possibly a standard aftermarket undercoating.

I agree. After the update I keep catching myself looking at the MFT screen for the temperature. The tiny little display on the bottom of the right 4in LCD screen is just too hard to read while driving.

I haven't received mine yet either. The only thing I got so far is a post card from my dealership saying an update is available.

Because of the way that the leather is treated, your best bet is to just use warm water and maybe a tiny bit of mild soap. You don't really want to use any fancy conditioners, detergents, or leather products since they could actually degrade the protective coating that's on the leather.

Wow, trading in the car you bought (probably for next to nothing) without even consulting with you is pretty damn selfish and impulsive. But look at her role model... good grief. That would probably be it for me... but you obviously know the history better than I do. Like I said before, going from my ex who had absolutely no sense with money and was determined to rack up as much debt as possible to my wife who is just as, if not more frugal as I am has been very very nice. My advice has nothing to do with the Edge. If she makes impulse buying decisions on a $25k vehicle purchase with a crappy interest rate and out-of-her-budget payments, just imagine how much fun she will be to deal with when you start combining your money. I spent years with a girl who was awful with money management and I will NEVER go back again. Good luck man.

When I log in to syncmyride is just says it needs a dealer install and to click there for a printout and that fees may apply!?!? WTF!!?? We're at 2.11 already and have NAV so I am really hoping we get the upgrades in the mail because I want to do it myself and sure am not paying a dealer to do so for warranty work. We never got the letter either... hrmmm, frustrating.

If you have Navigation, you have to wait for the new SD card (and USB stick) in the mail. If you don't have Nav, then you can download and install the update from syncmyride.com.

Must be yours. The panels, doors, hood, and hatch are all fitted very well with even gaps and everything is flush on mine.

I agree. The panels on my Edge all look and fit great. The only complaint I have regarding "fit and finish" would be the interior plastic trim on the B pillar, which is slightly off, and it's pretty minor.

They're 20x8 and I believe the offset was 39mm.

Tires are the stock size for 20in wheels, 245/50/R20.

In my non-expert opinion, yes there was plenty of stud left with the 5mm spacer.

I've been tracking my mileage since I bought my Edge. It's gone down considerably this winter with the colder temps and I'm doing a lot more city driving.

Agreed ^^^^. I've purchased / leased several vehicles with the A / Z plan and every time they were able to give me an exact price almost instantly without negotiation.

My sincere thanks to all responders. Are you all driving the ecoboost engines? It seems like the "ecoboost" engine has the best ratings for a 6 cylinder AWD vehicle.I'd say the responces sound encourgaging. Would you all do it again?

You can't get the Ecoboost engine with AWD, and as welpse stated above the Ecoboost has 4 cylinders.

I've never been able to get the status checker to work properly. It will run on the MFT and it updates an xml file on the usb drive but I have never been able to successfully get it to upload to the syncmyride.com website.
