  1. Well my wait is finally over. :happy feet: I got the call yesterday morning that it had arrived overnight and I picked it up yesterday afternoon. 1st impressions are all good after 100 kms. Pics to follow once the weather clears and it gets a bath.
  2. Just found out that Sync was loaded on my vehicle yesterday! It's finally being built! Hopefully that means I'm on track to get it next week :party2:
  3. I have heard that the sticker is generally only available about 1 week before actual production. there are 2 dates on the sticker, just above the one that always reads "today's" date is another one which is the "actual" date the sticker was produced. I would guess that your Edge will at least be in production by this time next week. You can also apparently track the progress by registering your VIN on syncmyride to see when sync is loaded. They load the latest version of sync on the b=vehicle as it rolls down the line. and yes, salesmen can lose interest once they have the deal.
  4. According to others the brakes are the same on all Edges and the SE comes standard with 17". Here's a thread that covers the topic in some depth http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/5307-winter-rims-for-edge-sport/
  5. In my case I turned it on when I set up the account on my desktop. Then I found I couldn't post from the iPad.
  6. You have to disable the visual editor option under "My Settings" on the forum. I had the same issue at 1st.
  7. Got my VIN and estimated delivery from the dealer this week. Ordered on Dec 31 and it should be here the week of Feb 14. Cyberdman on the blue oval forums told me it is scheduled to be built Feb 8.
  8. If you add your VIN to the end of the string below and paste it into your browser you will get your window sticker if you are close enough to your production date. If not close enough you won't. http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webviewhybrid/WindowSticker.aspx?vin= there are 2 dates on the sticker, the one near the top is generally 7 days before the vehicle starts assembly. The one near the bottom is today's date. How long it takes to be completed and shipping times to your dealership can vary. I'm about a 6 hour drive from the plant and have been told by that my vehicle is scheduled to be built Feb 8 while the dealership has told me to expect delivery the week of Feb 14th. Your mileage may vary. Hope this helps.
  9. The red candy metallic was an extra $300 but in the grand scheme of things it added less than 1% to the overall cost.
  10. As far as I have read, the sync software is loaded as the vehicle moves down the line. I would guess that the battery only gets connected near the end of the assembly process so it should be close to finished I have also read somewhere on another board that there are additional inspections and adjustments that happen once it is through the line and that can add days to the process before it ships. If I'm wrong I expect someone else will correct me.
  11. Hi all, New to the forum but not to Fords. I'm finding this and the other blue oval forums a wealth of information as I wait for the Edge to get built. We went with the red candy/light stone and almost all the toys. I skipped the vista roof because their wasn't enough headroom for me and also passed on 20" rims & backlit door sills. Apart from that it is loaded!
