I have a 2011 Edge Limited which includes the perimeter alarm feature. I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong but I keep setting off the alarm. Here is the scenario: Walk up to the vehicle in the morning with IA key in pocket. Touch door handle and doors unlock. Get in and press button to start engine. Drove to a gas station. Shift into Park. Press button to stop engine. (doors automatically unlock as I have "Auto-unlock feature" enabled. Open door, get out of vehicle (IA key still in pocket). Pump gas. Grab door handle and open door, alarm sounds. This has happened to me twice now, I'm stumped as to what I'm doing wrong. I'm assuming it's not liking some behavior that I'm dong above. I would really appreciate any tips anyone could offer, I'm just not sure why an alarm would arm on a car where the doors haven't even been locked?? Thanks!

Problem follow up: My dealer ended up ordering a complete seat back assembly for the seat that was not latching and all is good now. Hopefully just an isolated problem.

Hello! I took delivery of my new 2011 Edge Limited earlier this week. Both rear seats were folded down when it arrived from the other dealer where they sourced it from. When they went to clean it up and detail it to deliver it to me they found that one of the rear fold down seats would not fold back up and latch. It swings back into position but nothing can be felt catching at all, it's like there is no latch there at all even though I can lift up the carpet flap thing and see the mechanism is there. I cycled the power release motor with the button in the back and I heard the motor cycle, but still there is no resistance at all when I move the seat back into the seating position. Has anyone else seen this? Is there any other tricks to it? The other rear seat folds and returns to it's position with a positive click every time, no issues there. Thanks! Kyle

Hi! I am new to the forums and to owning my Edge. I also found this rubber thing when I took delivery this week. Can I be stupid and ask exactly where this goes? They had it kind of hooked to the top edge of the center console storage area but I know that can't be correct as it wouldn't hold anything like that anyway. Are you guys talking about that pass-thru storage hole that is forward of the center storage bin, and under the radio? Thanks! Kyle
