  1. Most HID kits have rubber grommets attached to the bulb wiring harness. You drill a 1" hole in the center of your covers and then place the wiring through the hole, using the grommet to seal it back up.
  2. The Retro-Solutions kit works well on a 2011. The 2011 Edge uses a projector type headlight system, which can be fitted with HIDs without the glare problems that are so common with aftermarket HID kits.
  3. I have a 2011 Edge, so this is based on that model. The dust cover will need a 1" hole drilled through the center. A regular 1" spade type drill bit will work just fine. The light kit comes with a grommet that will fit the 1" hole in the cover. All necessary wiring passes through that grommet to connect the factory wiring and the HID wiring. It all worked out fine on mine. No other modifications were needed.
  4. You drill a 1" hole in the center of that cap. All of the wiring goes through that hole. The HID bulbs will have a grommet attached to seal the hole. It works out quite well.
  5. My 2011 does the same thing. The trick on mine is to slam it shut. Just pushing it down won't work.
