hab gesehen dass du ja ohnehin deutsch kannst.. Also danke für die infos: aber was bringt dann das alles ohne ohne maps? Im masstab 1:100'000 Deutschland oder Schweiz sehen ist ja noch nicht so toll... Gruss jdf -
cool - also looking for a way to get my navi working in CH (not china) or even EU. How did you do it? I guess you need a SD CArd with maps...but where from? I year ago no one was able to help me here Plz let me know... thanx in advance

Thanx for the quick respond. So it's how a suggested it would be. They made a few mods on the car before I got papers and I think light was on of the topics on a short list. Orange lights for sure are not allowed for DRL. Guess they changed that as indicator only. But with these LEDs i would get more DRL and a happy road office with white DRL lights and orange indicators. Think I'll go to the garage an tell them to undo that flashlight behavior and then put the LEDs in - So you answered my question - and Ive the answer to your forum one - thanx n happy long easter weekend

I'm bit confused about these LEDs - or maybe it's just the way my lights are working here that it doesn't make sense: Without any mods done on my 2011 edge: - when I turn on my DRLs the lower long striped ones are going on - nothing else. - With low beams these DRLs stay on plus the normal lights go on too. Orange indicator bulbs only go on when I indicate and at no other occasion. So now if I replace those original amber bulbs with the bi-LEDs they will be on when I turn on the LED? Can't figure out why all of a sudden they should be on without any change on the wiring. Can it be my lights are set different than in the US...or are this LED so smart to change the DRL habit?

Stadt Zürich. da hats 3 Tage Schnee und 5 Tage Matsch. thats it.
nicht immer das von Schnee schoggi käse und Banken glauben
glaube das liegt am co2 ausstoss vom edge dass der Schnee weg ist
hast du dir die Seite angeschaut die ich geschickt habe oder welchen plan hast du?

ich weis noch nicht - bin zum glück nict aufs auto angewiesen. zur Arbeit ginge auch öv - Erfahrung der letzen Jahre ist, dass wir weniger als 5 schneetage haben.
für 22" gibt es keine Winterreifen - habe jedenfalls nicht gefunden.

dann geht der wagen auf auch ohne Schlüssel dabei (starten geht natürlich nicht) - schliessen geht mit D und E gleichzeitig drücken

ne..wenn dort 0-2 steht gilt ein Mal drücken für 0,1, oder ..also wenn dein code 1 2 3 wäre musst du dort 3 x drücken --

ja ich hab hids eingebaut. das standartlicht ist echt schwach...nutzt du das automatische licht? ohne Verzögerung finde ich das noch echt zu langsam..daher immer manuell.
keypad hab ich nicht begriffen aber mein factory code war einfach.
entweder über den screen einstellen oder gem Handbuch aussen..aber eben - bei mir hast nicht geklappt. 5 zahlen merken war leichter

ja alles klar...aber letzte Woche hat es doch eine b-klasse geschafft im stop-n-go mir hinten aufzufahren. war der edge wohl zu klein um gesehen zu werden?
Versicherung von ihr hat aber alles tiptop gemacht..waren auch nur Lackschäden
und wie läuft deiner?

Thanx for the suggestion. I will take that in consideration as well. Bit confused what they sell as "Error Eliminator". Can't find it in the FAQ or anywhere on there page - if I don't buy that will they deliver it with errors ? -
Hello everyone I decided to install a HID kit in my Edge as well. Can anyone recommend a certain brand/type for the 2011 Sport maybe even with own experience? I would prefer a 55w 4500K one. very nice work. how did you do the backlights? looks awesome on white edge. I've a black one and try to imagine if that would look as cool or if the effect is lost due to no contrast. webextrems transformer decal black/white correct?

US spec to Euro lisence plate frame

Hey there I'm looking for the same thing as you do just for my swiss number plate. I think for EU numberplates I found something even the explanation on there page is not really helpfull and the price quiet high. http://www.hscardesign.de/hscd/index.php?cat=c4_US-Fahrzeuge.html It says "Bei Bestellung Abmessung angeben!!" (=indicate measurement at order) - so I guess they will be able to help you if you contact them -
finally again had some time. managed to get into mysync without US-cellphone number (via the ford registration). Yet I'm not so sure if what I get is enough. Page tells me I've to check my VIN..but I'm 100% sure it's correct...plus further below it's ask me (again) for an US cellphone number. When I go to updates I get a page like shown.....empty..nothing to download - is that normal? I doubt. Yes I know I should rather ask that in the mysync forum (just in case anyone will come up with that line) I guess I'm at version 1.8 - do you guys have newer versions? I wrote to mysync but they are slow and first answer is always "you are abroad - we don't care". I struggle on with the mysync guys but would appreciate your info meanwhile thanx a lot

Keyless Entry Keypad System - Purpose?

ok. thanx for your replies. so it is basically a nice gimmick as I thought My Edge opens/closes the door when I touch the door handle with the keys close (in my pocket normally)....so I wonder if it wouldn't open as well when the keys are in the car and someone does that.... I think I'll simply try it out tomorrow...I've my Edge just for a few days and still not familiar with all it's possibilities... -
It's might a silly question. But what shall I use that keypad for? I've a keyless entry function with the carkeys already which is way easier than my mobile ATM on the side. I mean yes I can open the car with the code - but thats it. Not drive away of course. After thinking about I only found one surplus: You don't trust your partner but want her/him nevertheless to clean the inside of your Edge …Or am I missing a great gadget here? so do you use it? what's the benefit? (Assuming you have keyless entry system with your keys already)

oh super - then it's not a big deal. I can ask some friends in the States to " borrow" there number. Won't harm them. Thanx for the info
