Cool deal..would definitely like to see how this turns out!

On some of the other Fords, like my father's Expedition...which has the lower body moldings that cover the bottom part of the doors...in less than a year's time, I have noticed that those moldings have faded substantially. It almost looks like sun damage, it's that bad. I have seen other Expeditions with the same deal. Someone told me that it is actually because of the wax at the car wash? I am being real skeptical now, thinking of whether I want to risk taking the new Edge to the car wash, and whether I will see similar damage on the lower rocker moldings of the Edge and on the plastic door handles.

Filled up the Edge tonight for the first time. Wife got the gas light to come on and then she drove it another 10-15 miles. When I went with her to fill it up..the pump clicked off when it hit around 16.5 gallons. I manually added fuel slowly until it finally stopped again at around 19.8 gallons. Nothing overflowed except the first time it stopped...it spat some out around the filler neck. You can hear while it's filling that there may not be enough air venting the fueling process. If you take it slow, you can definately add close to 20 gallons to fill the tank. Strange thing is..for the FWD, I thought it was a 19.2 gallon tank!

Thanks! Yeah, the wife wanted the RED and I wanted the copper. When we got to the dealer and saw the copper, she changed her mind! Yippee! I have seen the chrome covers, but may be thinking about the painted handles and mirror covers like on the SEL.

Hello, Glad to have found a forum for the good 'ol Edge! My wife and I bought our Blazing Copper '07 SE, this past Saturday. Are there painted door handles and side mirror covers available yet? I have seen here where there are a couple of exhaust systems out now. Anyone know if there are any cold air intakes and tunes out yet? Thanks! Aris

Hello all, Wife and I just bought our '07 Edge on Saturday and I'm already looking into modifications for it. Anyone know if there are painted side mirror covers available on the market yet, or the painted door handles? We bought the SE and right now the mirrors and door handles are black. The Edge itself is Blazing Copper. Thanks! Aris
