My dealer finally got another Edge that is not presold and we did a swap. I am happy now. The dark vehicles look bad with the painted in my opinion and almost everyone who had seen it including fleet sales manager I deal with. I will see what everyone thinks of the chrome now that I have them and am finally happy. P.S. the vehicle is great otherwise.

They were not tol they were on commodity at all. I do have the window sticker they ship with and shows painted, original order shows 64G chrome wheels. I am trying to shake a copy loose from them. I don't think they want me rocking the boat?

No he ordered with correct specs. 220 A with 64G wheels. They told dealer chrome in short supply and suck it up. That every 3/4 with 18 got the crummy painted ones even if not ordered with them. I know I was overyly patient with August order and could have just bought one off a lot but not the way I ordered it equiped. Jeff

Ordered SEL August 8th and production debacle couple with rail strike means it came today. Supposed to come with the chrome wheels and has painted ugly ones on it. This is one of the first edges built, sat in a holding lot, then retrofitted very last etc etc and now I cannot drive it as they will not change the wheels if used. What a mess. Why would FORD not call to notify dealer or customer ahead of time. Main reason I bought it was I liked the chrome wheels matching the chrome grill. This is brutal customer service again and all around.

Can I impose one more time. I was hoping to get mine this week and it is not looking good. I have two time periods for rail delivery from east to west. One is 11 days and one is 18 days. I find both to be crazy. VIN 2FMDK49C97BA27590 Appreciate the help Jeff

I cannot type well. It is 2FMDK49C97BA27590 Someone was nice enough to run it about a month ago and no ship date. My dealer has had the vin number assigned to them for my Edge right from the start?

Ordered Augut 8th, Built November 8th, ship date???????? Vin 2FMDK49C97BA27589. Cannot believe a ZM, RM or any M cannot reply to my dealer with info as to where my 'retro fit' might be. Worst customer relations nightmare ever. They lost 12B $, hard to believe isn't it. Driving a rental the last two months at about 1K a month as I sold my suv expecting it to be close to stated deliver time of first November 1st, then December 1st and now who knows??? Own two other Fords. So much for treating loyal customers decent, not even a letter, email or call. Beyond frustrated in Edmonton.

I just heard from my Ford dealer. They are shipping December builds but those of us with November builds have to wait until vehicles can be gone over and re-checked. Supposed delivery late December, early January but no selling date from Ford yet. Has anyone seen or heard any reports of actual physical delivery to a customer???? I am so choked right now. For a company losing 10Million a day this explains a lot. No customer service with loaners or deals with the rental companies they supply.
