  1. "tweakfrek88 edited them, don't know why"?? Edited...??!!! So what?? Let's hear why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they were removed!!! So far, his posts were less than stellar about his Edge experiences. Does that require the posts to be removed????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How does this translate into removed posts???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like, I removed negative posts, because I do not like negativity!!! I think we deserve an explanation!!!! VB
  2. Your Edge is on hold! The first built Edges are being repaired because of bad parts! You will see your Edge in January! Votre bord EST sur la prise ! Les premiers bords établis sont réparés en raison de mauvaises pièces ! Vous verrez votre bord en janvier !
  3. He was saying that his delivery date has been changed 3 times already and still no EDGE. I told him I had the same experience, that's why I bought an explorer.
  4. J'ai été informé sur Des dates de livraison 3 fois. Non un d'entre elles s'est produit. C'est pourquoi j'ai acheté un explorateur.
  5. sranger, I'm thinking..if you top out the milage at 30,000 over 2 years, (assuming they give you 15,000 p/year) do you think the Edge could still be worth $18k-22k?? Another assumption I'm making, is the car in great shape..body and mechanics?? It might be close to that number, but I'm sure, Ford, in their zeal to put the best possible spin on it, gave the highest number (%). Just a thought.
  6. No kidding!!! I got tired of waiting (4 months!!!) and after my dealer told me my Edge was built, but sitting in a holding area "for god knows how long", I bought an '06 Fully loaded, V-8 Explorer, 4x4 for $30,500 delivered, (from NJ, I live in Boston) I got a better deal, less $$ and.................I HAVE THE CAR NOW!!!! Way to go Ford!!!! Another late, late, late release!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At 10 million dollars a day in losses, by delaying this vehicle, I think you dropped the ball!!?????????? BWTHDIK!!!!!
  7. Hey guys, I just canceled my Edge and purchased a 2006 Explorer Limited!! Black on Black. $4,000 cash back!!!!! V8, DVD player, audiophile sound system (290 watts w/subwoofer), 18 in wheels, dual climate controls, heated leather seats...etc. Total cost...$30,500 delivered! Hasta la vista Edge!
  8. Just spoke with my salesperson. He said he just got off the phone with Ford and it seems it will be on hold 'til the end of the year!! Any other thoughts on this??? VB
  9. Charly, how about the vehicles that have already been shipped to holding areas in each state before they're shipped to dealers?? Are these scheduled to be in showrooms by Dec 14th???
  10. Yo Frank..... if that's the case, how can I get my salesman to track "EXACTLY" where my car is between here (Boston) and Oakville. So far, all he's been able to tell me, is the car was in que for production a week and a half ago on his computer. Do you know any pertinent questions I could ask him to help him in his search, or am I wishing for too much?! It seems odd he's having a difficult time, yet he sells Ford vehicles!
  11. "They typically get test data at the track or vacant parking lot using scientific testing equipment" Great!!! That will give the average consumer an accurate idea of how it drives on a day to day basis!! They beat the shit out of these cars on a track or vacant lot, but most of "us" don't drive that way, at least ...not in the real world! To me, this is not an accurate representation, of how we all drive in the real world!!! It is however, an idea of how they feel the car should drive! Their bias is obvious!! Let's just wait until we drive it ourselves! I'll bet it will be better thann most vehicles out there! 12. The "preformance by the seat of your pants?" comment is sophomoric and appropo. The real results, will be how everyday drivers feel in the seat of their pants!! In my case, not only how I feel, but how do my clients like the vehicle. That's why I believe I'll be a great barometer for this particular car. My monthly mileage will be greater than these guys would ever drive and my yearly mileage will be greater than most drivers do in 5 years!!!!!! Something these reviewers can't even approach in their short tests!!! The everyday consumer doesen't care about "$$$ worth of test equipment", but rather, does the car perform well for their needs!!! These reviewers don't carry $$$ worth of test equipment with them...they ride in this vehicle like the rest of us!!! And even if they had all this alledged equipment....how does that equate to how "YOU" feel in the car in day to day driving???
  13. Ya know, I've been reading info, that seems to based on second hand reports,. That's to say...car reviewers. I'll take what they say with a grain of salt. They are biased to the "Nth" degree! The people who will buy this vehicle will more than likely love it, despite all the shortcomings these writers have issues with!!! If I based my buying options on their opinions, I'd be living in then 80's. The buying public will ultimately be the driving force of the success or failure of this new offering. The buying public, who reads their biased drivel, could give a rats ass about what these rags say! They are just barometers, and biased ones at that, nothing more I'll be happy to judge for myself...thank you very much! I drive livery and will be able to put this car thru its paces, better than most. If it's a good car, I'll bet I know before these reviewers, who take a "TEST" drive of 800 miles before the vehicle is broken in; get an accurate representation of MPG or how well the vehicle performs in everydayt driving !!! At best, it's a guesstimate. I don't like guessstimates! When, (if I ever get it) I have driven this vehcle for a month, (approx 6000 miles) I'll give you my review and those of the clients I've driven. Only then, will I believe, we'll have an accurate representation of how good Ford built this vehicle!!!
