  1. I have exactly the same problem. Have you ever found out what was wrong?
  2. I am. Never found the cause though. Have you?
  3. Does your problem look like this? http://www.fordedgef...l-when-stopped/ I guess I have the exactly the same. BTW, did you find what was wrong?
  4. Does your problem look like this? http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/8142-08-ford-edge-has-a-shudder-in-steering-turning-into-parking-spot-or-turning-wheel-when-stopped/ I guess I have the exactly the same. BTW, did you find what was wrong?
  5. Update: I had the steering wheel fluid flushed today and the shudder almost disappeared. Update 2: The shudder is back.
  6. In the end, the battery light turned on two times right after replacing the battery as I mentioned above. Since then, never turned on again. Thanks hunter306 and akirby! They were right.
  7. I have an 2008 Ford Edge that has a shudder in the steering when moving slow and turning, for instance into a parking spot, and/or when stopped and turning the steering wheel. It varies from a faint shudder to where the brake pedal shakes or the vibration is strong enough to feel on the floor boards. Worth mention this shudder does not happens all the time. For instance, it rarely happens when I maneuver the car in the first start in the morning. But after riding for like 5 min or so I can feel the shudder ( when stopped and turning the steering wheel or moving slow and turning) The dealer already flushed the power steering fluid which didn't solved the problem. Has anyone had a similar problem?
  8. My SEL 08 does not have a cabin filter.
  9. Battery replaced under warranty and after 2 days, the same behavior occurred. I'd say it's likely a bad alternator.
  10. Thanks hunter306 and akirby! I definitely didn't know the battery wasn't maintenance free so I never considered as a possible cause.
  11. Hi All, This is my first post here and unfortunately it's not for a good reason. I just bought my Edge SEL 08, with 39500 miles on it. Around 4 days after I bought It, I start seeing the battery light goes on and off. Thought I couldn't identify a pattern or reproduce the problem I'd say the 3 times that happens was when not using the car for long periods of time, like 8 hours or more. After 5 min driving, it goes away. I started to carrying a multimeter with me and whenever the light lit (or not), I measure the battery and alternator voltage. The reading results: With the engine off, battery voltage is around 12,84V. With the engine on(idle), goes from 13,9 ~ 14,4. Either with the light lit or not. Does anybody have a clue whats going on? Worth to say I went to Autozone and they did that alternator/battery check and no problem was found. Regards, Marcelo
