For what it's worht, I have been speaking to Ford of Canada's escalation department over this for the last couple of weeks. The gentleman I spoke to, talked to some other department and got back to me. He says that Ford is aware of the problem. They figure it's a software issue. They are supposedly working on it and it should be fixed on the next "Global Update" expected to come out before the end of the year. Spiff

W-Edge, when you mention fine tuning are you generally lowering or increasing the volume? Spiff

I didn't notice the notch until you mentioned it. I will get the dremel out later. Spiff

Cellbine, the only issue I have is pulling it out. The clip on the passenger side of the console where the coin holder attaches to snags the tray. I am not sure which is the best fix. I"ll have to notch out the tray abit on the side or trim the tab abit. Spiff

Finally got around to making mine. I will probably put some of that non slip material in it and paint it black at some point. Spiff

Thanks Dingo for the pics and the Mini part number. Changed the adapter and it fits flush for me. I picked up mine at the local BMW/Mini dealer for $38 taxes in (Canada). Also no reception issues just as good as OEM or better. Another happy modder. Spiff

I know I'm pissed at the poor Bluetooth sounnd/microphone quality but I am not quite ready for dynamite. Lol I'll try the software update next week and if it doesn't help I will do the mic mod. Spiff

I think the circuit board stays where it is. It looks taped over in the pic. Essentially it looks like that microphone has additional legnth of wire to seperate it from the board. Is this correct Eric? Spiff

Just got off the phone with Sirius Canada. Those of us, up north always seem to get screwed over when it comes to the cost of items compared to our American cousins. Apparantly there is a $77 dollar yearly plan out there in the top secret sirius world. Anyways I told them that I would like to subscribe to the same $77 plan that my mother in law has. She of course has no such plan. I got my wife a sirius system last fall. She got 3 months for free and now it's $15 a month. I was polite and friendly with the first agent. After holding for 5 minutes with the agent searching for his best price, he told me the best they can do is $164 a year. I told him that if I could get $77 I would subscribe both her radio and my recently expired Edge radio. He said he couldn't do it. I then told him regrettably I need to cancel the wife's plan as its too expensive. He then said he was "sad" to hear this and would transfer my call to customer relations. I basically retold the next agent the same story and that I need to cancel. She put me on hold for a few minutes. She was able to get me the $77 without any promo codes, she also got me the Edge subscription at 33% off the $77 rate as a second radio. So I went from $15 a month for one radio to 2 radios for $10.60 a month ($5.30 per radio). Hope this helps anyone looking to deal with Sirius. Spiff

My Sirius subscription from Ford has expired. I was wondering what deals are out there? I do have one current sub with an another radio. I may be interested in a total of 3 radios if the price is right. Any suggestions? Spiff

Finally got around to installing splash guards. They need minor cutting and one hole drilled. I got them at CDN Tire. Spiff

I am in Alberta. Like I said its weird that one day out of ten the arrow images are on the screen and the rest of the days they aren't especially when I didn't change any of the setting and driving the same route. Spiff

Hi, I was wondering if someone can tell me why sometimes I get the teal arrows as shown on the pic and sometimes I don't. The NAV settings haven't been changed and there is no active route. Sometimes the arrows are displayed and most of the time they are not. Spiff
