For future reference: Remove the purge value before moving the clip.

There is enough slack in the hose to do so. Makes it a lot easier.

Meticulously clean the throttle body and go from there.

In my experience with this issue, the interior temperature is what triggers the auto setting to turn on. For example: Car parked outside @ 32 degrees:

Sun through the windows, or parked in garage, interior temps higher than outside temps, will not set added features on.

" If I turn the key from off to the on position and back off again, open the driver's door, all works again. "

My first guess: glass stove top cleaner, works great on my Windshield .

Also check the connector to the module, the Black wire, (ground), may have burnt the connector due to over heating at that pin connection. Common Problem.

The load may have pressed down on the suspension, forcing to fuel tank tighter against to car body or suspension; allowing the sound of the fuel pump to be transmitted into the car body. Amplifing the sound level of the pump.
