  1. I hope this helps.

    1. Loosen all the mounting hardware.

    2. Use some shims on the inside front of the bumper between frame and bumper.

You want to push the bottom space out, which will push the top space in towards the fender.

Where you place the shims is optional.

3 Then tighten all the mounting hardware.

    Tedious but rewarding results.

    Best Wishes!

What you use for shims is up to you. I used so hard rubber trimmed to size.

could be right about the purge valve if it is flooding the engine with vapors on first try.  check if it holds vacuum with engine off.

yes, all fobs have batteries and transponders.  if the transponder is failing and does not communicate with the PATS ring in the vehicle, then you will not be able to crank at all.  the battery I believe is for remote functions, maybe also for transponder functions but not sure on that.

You could try: "The Vehicle Does Not Start With The Passive Key In Certain Areas Within The Vehicle But Starts Using The Passive Key Backup Location"

finding my car sitting on milk crates without wheels

I been there before, I would have like to see the expression on my face. Got new wheels, tires, locking lug nuts, plus towing for $250.00 Deductible. Insurance paid Dealer $5134.00.

Tires had 26000 miles at time. Two Rims had curb rash.

  6. Blufish312, Welcome, The painted section is a separate part of the mirror. Take care when trying to separate from lower section or you will break the clips. The lower black section isn't available as a separate part. You could buy a mirror, new or used an switch out the top section to avoid painting.
