I have AWD. I have not checked the tran fluid as you mentioned. How do I do that and what should I ne looking for? In regards to the ac being on. Funny you ask as I was just experimenting with that. No conclusion just yet but definitely I hear it when the ac is on. Still testing with the ac off (close to 95 degrees where I am so a bit difficult with it off). Why do you ask about the ac? You think it's the compressor or something else?

Hi I have a 2012 edge with less than 10k miles on it. Sometimes, but not all the time, when I am at a stoplight and it goes green, I hear a low level hum (cant exactly make out where its coming from but feel its somewhere in the center of the vehicle). It goes away rather quickly within a couple seconds. The hum doesn't fade away but after the couple of seconds it just completely stops. The car appears to be running fine with no issues aside from this hum. Has anyone else exhibited this type of hum?

Hello All I have the 20in chrome clad rims. They looks great but then again they are plastic chrome. Ive noticed that no matter how much i wash them there is still a dirty look to them. Road grime, crud, etc that makes them sparkle just a little bit less. I am wondering if any of you have come across a safe non abrasive product that I can apply to give those rims the shine they had when it rolled out of the dealer. any help great appreciated

Hello All, I wanted some feedback on bug deflectors. Has anyone used them and did they provide good protection? I will be embarking on a trip into bug and stone chip land and want to protect my front end as much as possible. Also, anyone know of a good bumper guard such as the bumper bully, the one that will drape over your entire bumper so when you parallel park someone doesnt slam their car into your bumper? has anyone used the bumper bully or the like for their edge and what are your opinions? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

How long, on average, does it take to install?

I read that you need to leave the vehicle on for the entire process which they stated could take roughly 60 minutes. Is that true? I literally have to waste 60 minutes of gas idling for this update? Can I perform this update in accessory mode? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What about OEM touch up paint? Is that really expensive? I remember getting oem touch up paint for a nissan and it was only 8 bucks but it was the size of a nail polish bottle, which is actually all i need in this situation.

Any other places to buy OEM touch up paint for cheaper? Know of places that match the paint that are not OEM? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello All, Just took ownership recently for 2011 edge sel and am still learning my way around MFT. Does anyone else find the navigation screen clumsy, slow and unintuitive? I find it awfully difficult to manually put in an address, city, number, etc. I also find it difficult to do it through voice. I find that most of the time i have to scream instead of talking as half the time it doesnt comprehend and I have to say it again. I also find doing a search for POI nearby is not very up to date. Anyone else have similar experiences? What do you do that maybe I can learn from to make this experience a little bit easier and not take so long just to enter an address, then click Set as Dest, then click yet another button for it to finally apply the route. Any tips, suggestions, etc would be greatly helpful. Thank you, cherrybomb

I just purchased a new 2012 ford edge sel. After having purchased it I ran across this thread. Do any of you think I can get this $750 applied after the fact? Thoughts, opinions?
