They are on the ford parts website if you want to spend 20 bucks for one.. :-( I thought I had lost one 3 months after I got my vehicle. However, yesterday,... really no kidding... yesterday it turned up. How it got lost is an annoying story... But, basically don't let your brother buy a LARGE panda express soda and put it in the front cup holder.. that little "cup holder mat" is an exact fit for the bottom of the cup.

Wow, that's kind of nice I HATE the center console on my 2011 Limited. I hate that it does NOT have a tray. It has this stupid little coin holder thing that attaches to to little tiny pin tabs assuming you can get it lined up. I definitely want a regular tray like that one... not sure it is worth 50 bucks though. This started on the 2012? or 2013?

Yep, I have the same issue. I have had it since the day I updated to the 3.x version. I have resorted to using my phone and WAZE or even my portable GPS which also does traffic depending on the day. Out of all the items the Mytouch system can do. This was the only one I truly cared about and used every single day. I would go back to the old version for this ability alone. It is annoying. There are also numerous locations that the previous version had in its map database that simply do not exist in the new version on top of the lack of traffic delay ETA calculations.

I have tried this, and I get the error every time "error unable to send to car... check help" with a link. Which I am not sure why I get that. Any ideas? (selecting more --> send ---> car ---> entered make "ford" and my phone number. I will try it again... On a side note, I really hate how I can't enter and then name a saved address using any form of space... like "John's House" or something has to be entered "Johnshouse" what's up with that???? and still not fixed from what I can tell... space bar is on the screen when updating but you aren't allowed to use it.

Prior to the last update, my system stayed on whatever screen i left it on when i turned the vehicle off. Now, it is on the 4-square screen (which I dislike) every time i restart it.

So, I have been running the "fixed" (not really!) software for a while now. It still is frustrating and just annoying. Just to list a few of the issues I have had since the update... 1 . The navigation ETA calculation since update no longer accounts for delays in traffic as it did in all previous versions. Only gives absolute time based on distance. 2. When using navigation (voice primarily, but it happens with manual input as well). The system will routinely offer options and ask you to select a line number... yet no data is present (including numbers) to select. If you then say something like (1 or 2). It may load some random destination that was unrelated to the search. Or, may repeat itself asking to select a number (of which there are still none). 3. Often, the navigation system with glitch out and offer navigation selections that are unreadable and have screen artifacts covering/replacing the location name text such as gray lines/colors. "garbage screen". As above, the system asks you to select a destination number. 4. Completely black screen for several minutes on start up. Then goes into the "maintenance" screen before starting. 5. On some rare occasions... when turning the vehicle off, the background (which is normally black) will flash white and display the blue ford logo as the system shuts down... while still displaying all menu and other items on the screen... during and well after the white ford logo screen has been displayed and gone... and the car has been exited and locked... sometimes 1-5 minutes... sometimes longer (I got tired of waiting one time and just left). 6. System on occasion just locks up while giving voice commands... after approximately 2-3 minutes it then repeats the last question stating it did not understand, try again. During this entire time the system shows "listening" in the bottom right corner. However, you are not able to do anything while it is still thinking. 7. System starts (when it works) and defaults to the home screen (which sucks, but i can live with that). However, it does not always revert back to previous radio station. On several occasions it defaulted to a terrestrial radio station which was on preset. However, the display on the home screen was showing SIRIUS satellite presets. Pressing a preset of one of the satellite station names changes to another terrestrial radio station and not the satellite. 8. unknown if related however, the MPG calculation does not match the trip computer (i reset both instant/trip A) every time I fill up. When the trip one goes up 0.1 mpg, the instant will at the same time go down 0.1 mpg. While i thought these two may be unrelated previously it appears that they are not. As the instant one will readjust to match trip meter routinely. With the instant mpg jumping sometimes over a full MPG such as from 19.6 to 20.8 to match the trip meter. There are several other issues. But, honestly it gets tiring just listing them. The worst part is I was dumb enough to help convince my brother and best friend to buy a ford/lincoln. After I was able to experience the sync/myford touch system at CES in 2011. Now both of them are unhappy with theirs as well. So, I will not be recommending any ford vehicles with anything even remotely similar to this system to anyone. I have in fact talked my fiancé out of buying the lincoln MKZ hybrid. It isn't worth the headache of dealing with the electronics no matter how good the actual car may be.

Sadly, the nav traffic and ETA calculation is one of the things I used a lot... every single day practically :-( I find myself using my cell phone for nav again now. So the system is proving to be worthless in that regard since it is not doing what I not only want but need it to do. Which, it did previously (when it worked). Additionally, I have had the system completely lock up finally yesterday. Apparently, I was speaking a foreign language when I said "destination work". To which, the system locked up and just displayed a green background screen with no wording whatsoever. No text in the other three corners at all or time displayed. It sat there for approximately 10 minutes maybe more. Since I was driving I didn't bother mesing with it. When I got to work I was just kind of irritated and turned the car off. When I got off work and went to go home. It did its maintenance thing and was working again (if you can call it that). I also have been getting screens that are just garbage when it asks to select one of several possible matches for destinations off and on. Just grey lines on the screen that are partial selection boxes or so they appear. Nothing selectable, and text only in the first box which is a few letters of a partial word or name. They could have saved money maybe (and time) by just using epoxy to mount a TOM TOM, and a Sirius portable radio to the dash and creating a nice bezel. At least it might work better or be semi-reliable... I took some pics of the screen... will upload them when I get some time. On the bright side, I finally was able to see some of the 3D buildings (a lot of them in vegas!). They are cool. Prior to this update I only found one near me, but I didn't have a lot of opportunity to search. The Pond in Orange/Anaheim is 3D. (Honda center now or something).

So, the next question is would that directly affect ETA in route calculation? Since, it should be using the traffic incidents and other data to calculate the ETA in the first place. I guess I need to go to the dealer and start complaining. Annoying though, since it will take some explaining to them just to get them to understand the problem.

I see the traffic along the route (red/green/yellow). However, accidents and items like that I have never had pop up save once since the update. That was only after I went to the traffic page on the system and it said "no incidents reported along route" or whatever it says. I then went back to the map and it asked me if I wanted to alter the route due to an incident... which it said wasn't there when I looked... and continued to say wasn't there when I went to check again.

Anyone else have the problem where the ETA for nav doesn't account for traffic in any way? (It used to give a good rough estimate before this "update"). Now, it doesn't even try. If it is 20 miles to work, it says ETA 20 minutes. Not 35 or so it did previously due to known traffic. Also, in the Navigation settings menu for traffic avoidance I think it is called. If I select an option it doesn't save such as the "manual" or "automatic" settings. Everytime I come back to the screen it is back to automatic.

OH,... custom oil cap!!!! I might do that myself Trying to figure out how to get a set of the sport rims for mine for a decent price first though. On a side note, I noticed that the roof panels running the length of my sun roof on either side don't sit flat the day i got it. I haven't taken it in yet to see what is up with that. Now I know I am not alone though.

Okay, so apparently the system has been adding the favorites when i put them in. Even though, the screen stays on the input screen with no mention of the "favorite" nav point being added. They are not showing up in the "by Name" sorting method for favorites (they litterally appear blank, complete with the "add" button and are inaccessible). However, when you sort by "Date" they show up (displaying the address and normal information). Flipping back to the "By name" sorting method they disapear again. Another problem that I have noticed is navigation to a point and the estimated time of arrival. Previously, the system would make a guesstimate of arrival time taking into account traffic that the system knows about (and is also displayed on the map). Now, the system displays the map and shows traffic congestion (red/yellow). However, it shows the ETA for the destination for a 20-mile trip in traffic which I make almost every day as only taking 20 minutes instead of the 45 minutes the old version would usually estimate. Every time since the update this has been the case. The minute lasting forever and only counting down as the miles do. I guess this is better than the system showing me a negative time to destination which it would do previously though sometimes when it was having issues. Anyone else have these issues? To say the least, I am really dissapointed. $45k vehicle and the primary reason I purchased the vehicle was the electronics package and it didn't work worth a darn and the supposed fix is... well as stated previously is still dissapointing.

If it is the gas station icons, I am not positive but I do not think you can turn them off once you get to the estimated 50 Miles until empty. At least I have not found a way.

I had pretty much the same experience as you. What a waste of gas/time... and just annoying as all heck. I got the "blue package" day before yesterday. Waited till that night (despite being eager to get it done ASAP to end the problems that plagued it). Followed the instructions, had it do it's thing. All the while idling in my driveway :-( . All good or so i thought... 3 and a half hours later... still sitting at "installing 6 of 15"... Called the support line... which closed litterally 5 minutes before I gave up (the 3 and a half hour point). So, gave it yet another 20 minutes (still burning my gas). After that I clicked the exit arrow in the top left. I wasn't going to leave my car on all night hoping it finished. Once I did that, the screen just went black. Great I though... then it rebooted on it's own and started the next step of install... took about 40-50 minutes from there (slow as hell on a couple 4 of 9, and 3 of 6 or something). Then it rebooted again... seemed to be working I guess. I flipped through the menus for about 5 minutes and went to bed. The next morning she seems to be working okay. I don't care for the changes to the menus really but it isn't super horrible. The map looks better in some regards, but I hate the new verion of the "bread crumbs" they are huge! Major complaints I have so far (only one really) and I have not used it too much. It was really really frustrating though. First, all my preset addresses/favorites are gone. Which was to be expected. Okay, cool start new. So, I go to put an address in and it just won't accept it half the time. It just sits there at the address input screen. City, Street, State, house number all accepted but it just sits there and does nothing. This sucks. It took 8 tries just to get my house address and work address into the system and saved. The other part of this complaint is that it can't find simple locations that were in the previous version of the map. Locations that have been in the city for well over 35 years such as a local school. Not listed under local POI's, I even entered the name manually and it can't find it. To make it worse, entering the actual address is met by the same problem as before. I can enter the information it acknowledges that it matches the system database and accepts the inputs. However, won't add it to favorites or anything else. It just sits there at the input screen.
