He whole one light not coming on all the time when they fire up seems to have something to do with auto headlights if you are using that setting. If I turned on and off manually there was never a problem.

I have to take the oil back off. Will be far to expensive to ship.

I was wondering the same thing about the capless. I like to use dry gas and wasn't able to add that. My edge has quite a bit of water coming out of the exhaust....

it's most likely because it's cold out and the hot exhaust causes condensation in the exhaust pipe, save your money it's normal

Yeah I only have a miniature schnauzer so I don't have much to carry around, plus my wife has a nissan rogue. Roads usually aren't to bad but can suck if they aren't taken care of, although when it snows here the way people drive you'd think we lived in the south and never seen the stuff before.

surprisingly I feel the Q50 handles better in the snow then my Edge Sport did.

Nice choice on the new ride... I'd be interested in the mudflaps, but for what it would cost to ship them, i'm probably better-off just buying them locally... :-(

they might fit in one of those flat rate boxes, I can check, heck they might even fit in a larger padded envelope. if you give me the zip I'll check on the cost and let you know.

You can see in the one photo how the tip is cracked. Don't know if still works though. Can't test it.

The mud flaps are cut for the edge sport although I'm sure they will still work on other models. They aren't stained I just cleaned them before taking the picture and they weren't completely dry.

I'll post up pictures tonight, but since I no longer have my Edge I no longer need these items.

I have the 2 9006 bulbs but it seems the tip of one cracked or something so I don't know if it will still work, I can throw them in if you want them (4500k color)

after 27k miles on my Edge (was way less than that when I noticed) my front emblem start clouding up too. Took it to the dealer and they replaced it under warranty.

It was a good run with the Edge but I missed driving a car and something with some more power. Ford needs to redo the throttle mappings for the Edge badly. Never really had any issues over last two years except transmission thunk and the dash rattled around the steering wheel. Other than that all was good. Oh and Ford should have made the sport standard with HIDs.

So yesterday I traded in my 2012 Edge Sport for a 2014 Infiniti Q50.

I have a set of mud flaps and wheel locks if any one wants to buy them from me.

It was a good 2 years with the Edge.

I like BLIS but hate the cross traffic, although it is nice at times there has been way to many times it has gone off for no reason and made me slam on the brakes when backing up thinking a car was coming, very annoying.

welcome! 2 questions, why did the Edge sport not come with HIDs? and also why did they not design it better so inside the door doesn't get so filthy from rain and snow?

that's because it cause the wheel to go out of balance, it's like adding the little weights to the inside of the rim. like everyone said, it can happen on any size rim. rims with larger openings make it easier for snow to go in.

if you are using auto lights, try doing just turning them on manually. I know with auto sometimes one of my lights would go on then go back out. I would have to turn the lights off for a few seconds then turn them back on and it would come on. I have resorted to not using the auto feature anymore since having HIDs is a lot nicer than lights that turn on and off on their own. What was Ford thinking not giving the Sport model HIDs?

HD radio sucks, not in the sense that it doesn't sound better, but in the sense that like you said it drops out every so often unless you are near a tower. Most HD stations are only broadcast close to cities. I turned HD off as I was tired of it going in and out.

on the edge the high and low beam are the same bulb controlled by a shutter.

they are the oem factory, and I have a how to on how I installed them, no drilling of the car should be required.

my dash on my 12' sport has started making noises around where the seat memory buttons on, it is getting very annoying.

I'll take some pics later, but I have a 35w DDM HID Kit with 4500k bulbs and capacitors. Looking for about $35 shipped.

Also have Ford Mudflaps, had these installed on the front before I took them off. $25 shipped.
