  1. Shaman....I actually purchased from that Lithia dealer in G. Forks. I rolled my frontier on I94 and was in need of a new vehicle....a little sooner than I wanted. Anyway I haggled and came to an agreement over the phone. Best I could do was get them to invoice price and then throw in a two way car starter. '13 AWD Silver Edge w Appearance pkg, Nav, MFT, leather....most of the good stuff. I would have been out the door for $35,500 but I let the finance guy suck me into the $1500 extended warranty. Stupid....I'm gonna go look and see what others are paying for this warranty.....I bet it can be had for under a grand. Edit: Oh I just wanted to mention that when I got to the dealership my sales guy was this high energy, uppity guy that just turned me off right away. I bought this thing over the phone from the head sales manager and he handed the sale down the line. When I run in to these people all I can think of is..."this guy is full of shit and will say anything to complete the sale."
  2. Overall, I'm very happy w my new vehicle....just wish it was paid for. I was out the door for $35,500 which included $3500 in rebates. I couldn't get them to go lower but did ask that they throw in a top of the line aftermarket car starter. Other options: Nav, sync, Appearance pkg, AWD.......No roof, no tow pkg, no power rear hatch, no roof rails, no drivers entry pkg. I basically found exactly what I wanted.....If I was to order one I'd get it just like this. I really like this vehicle at this point.....just trying to not f... it up. No door dings yet! Dislikes 1. Gas mileage in real life(not what the display says) 50/50 mix of hwy/city driving. Just shy of 20 miles/gallon. 2. No pocket in the center console area to put shit. I like to take my wallet and phone out when doing long trips.....I've been using the ledge right in front of the guage cluster and seems to be a good spot for the wallet for sure. It'd be cool if they could cut a pocket into the center console where the Sync badge is but that may be a cover for some electronics, not sure. It was 5 days that I had the vehicle until I noticed the little area by your legs to put stuff and there is the huge center console but its not the most convenient due to its large lid. 3. Sync sometimes has a mind of its own. Nothing crazy on mine like some have experienced. For instance, last night I had the accessory on while listening to music via the usb port(btw-let me just tell you this is awesome...you can copy all your iTunes music onto one of those 1/2" usb drives and stick that in the Edge......bam, all your music and no need for your ipod or phone) and when I finally started the engine it switched the source to cd. 4. No pocket in the armrest on the door. On a windy day in ND and in a crowded parking lot I wish I had a little more leverage than what the current handle offers. 5. Now that I have nice wheels I have to clean them(this is just filler) 6. Talking through the sync menus such as navigation can be frustrating. I think the key here is knowing and understanding what sync recognizes and what it doesn't. You need to know the menu system. 7. Transmission is not as responsive as I'd like.....kinda slow when you step it down. I'm getting older though and I don't have a need to be steppin' it down all the time anyway. Likes 1. The vehicle is sharp...inside and out. 2. Love the tech, 3 displays, ability to configure stuff 3. Wheels, 20's, yeah! 4. Power seats-fully adjustable with lumbar support. 5. push button fold down rear seats. 6. Ride-pretty comfortable on my 9+ hr drives to western ND 7. Love the power ports and 2 usb ports...very handy 8. No gas cap...pretty sweet. 9. AWD-If you travel wintery roads often you'll love this. You can turn one of the displays in the guage cluster to show your AWD system and it will display which wheels are slipping. I can than lower my speed to where I'm more in control. This is invaluable to me since I rolled my '06 Frontier on I-94 on an icey patch.
  3. Spicaly, That last $1000 incentive is for peeps who have just given back or terminated a lease from a competing car company within 30 days of recieving a new ford......That's not me. So I only get the $3500 but still pretty good. Also I don't work for any of those companies but did just learn that the x plan pricing is available to friends and family. The girl I know at the dealership told me its only for family after she offered to let me use one of her pins. Either her boss told her wrong or were not that good of friends, lol.
  4. Hi folks! I've been a member here for a year or so while considering the edge. A year ago I was drooling over the edge sport but realized the gas mileage and $40,000 price tag was a bit much. Then Ford introduces the SEL appearance pkg and I'm hooked. Its the perfect vehicle for me. I do wish they had the body molding on the bottom of the vehicle like the sport but that is what sets the sport apart. So here is the deal I've agreed to for an AWD, Silver 2013 Edge w/ Appearance Pkg., Nav.,205a. There is no power liftgate, no tow pkg., no roof rails and no vista roof. MSRP $38,145 Invoice price is $36003. If I finance through Ford(and then refinance) I can get $3500 in rebates. The salesman offered $500 over the invoice price before the rebates so that worked out to $36,500 - $3500 = $33,003. I said I'd like to see him come down $1000. He says he can only come down to Invoice(-$500) price so I asked him to put in an astrostart which they agreed to. So....we agreed to $36,003 - $3500 in incentives for a total around $32,503 plus a top of the line autostart. I feel like I could applied a bit more pressure to come down but I'm a lover not a fighter. Any thoughts on this deal? Does it all add up? I hate to get screwed. This deal is going down in Grand Forks, ND (my home town) but there are a ton of Ford dealers in the Minneapolis area where I live so there are other options of course. I've talked to a couple but this vehicle in Grand Forks has exactly the options I wanted and none of what I didn't so I'm not paying for things i don't want. Something that put me off was the finance guy. I'm currently in ND and 2 weeks ago I asked Ford for a brochure hoping there would be a $750 cash coupon inside sitting at my house in MPLS. He says,"Oh, don't worry about that. We've already applied all the discounts that we can. This is a pretty thin deal for us here but because your a friend of (person that works there) were giving you the best price possible." Now I don't get that! If Ford gives a coupon and wants to pay a portion then so be it. Who knows....maybe they have their own cash coupon they're using and mine couldn't be applied. Shit, I might not even have on sitting at home for all I know. Can it be applied after the sale...like 2 days? Thats enough rambling from me. I'm picking this vehicle up Monday afternoon and am thoroughly stoked!
  5. I've seen a 2013 SEL w appearance package and may be my next ride. Its sweet and gets me closer to the Sport edition w/o sacrificing gas mileage and the 20's are good enough for me. Also the paddle shifters are on the steering wheel-unneccessary in my oppinion but to reach their own.
