  1. The Wife and I have a 08 limited with towing package. She complains about the A/C everyday. We live in Phoenix Metro Area and it is hot. I have not tried opening the glove box yet. I don't notice this problem when I drive it on long trips, ie highway speeds. I too think that the longer Vents have a negative effect on the perceived cooling air flow.
  2. I have x-plan pricing through my work so I only had to haggle on my trade in value. My Salesman was named James and he seemed to have pretty good knowledge of the Edge, which made me feel better. I hate getting sales people who don't know their product. Rated A We had our financing lined up before hand, however we still had to deal with the finance dept to get the paper work cleared. That guy proceeded to tell me how Ford would not honor their warranty after a year and instead say that the part failed from wear and tear. He was really just trying to sell us on the extended. It almost made me walk out. Was not what I wanted to hear when purchasing a $32k Edge. Rated D We have also had a the edge in for some repairs. Bad Fuel cluster and Bad switch for the power seats memory settings. Service department was great. I had to let my wife deal with it because I had some business travel and normally that would cause me more grief because my wife does not know much about autos. The San Tan Service Dpt did a great job explaining it to the wife and also getting her in a rental at no charge to us. Rated A+
  3. I was having a problem with getting mine programed with by using my wifes old remote to show the Home link the codes. Then I tried the a different old remote and it worked fine. My wife's old remote was after market while the other old remote was an original that came with the opener.
  4. 08 Limited with 1k miles. Fuel gauge would jump from little under half full to empty. Found this out in the middle of a road trip. Family was in the middle of I-8 in AZ desert and the car suddenly starts beeping that fuel level is low. Wife is giving me the why didn't we stop for gas look and the baby starts crying. We made it 80 miles to the next gas station and I fill up but only get little over 9 gallons in. I am thinking no way Ford puts a 10 gallon tank in a SUV, but hey we made it to Gas station. Take it to the dealer after we get home but they can't find anything wrong. So we drive it around a while and then it jumps to empty again and take it in for dealer to see. They just replaced the fuel gauge cluster so hope that fixes the problem. We also had a problem with the memory seats not always going to the preset spot. They said they fixed that as well, but couldn't tell me what they did.
  5. 2008 Limited - and I was/am having the same problem. We also had a problem with the fuel gauge so it has been in the shop for about a week. Supposedly they have fixed the memory seat issue. The hard part was that it couldn't always be duplicated. Sometimes I would get in and hit my setting and it would go back, but not lower to the pre-set. Some times it would lower and go a little bit back but not all the way. It was messing with me because it would do something, but it wouldn't end seat location wouldn't feel right and the mirrors would be out of sync. I did find that I could always get it to fail if I used the keypad to unlock and start moving the seat to my location. ie, I enter my 5 digit code to unlock and add the 6th digit to tell the seat to adjust to my setting. So take it in and tell them it is not working.
  6. Live in SE Gilbert, work in Chandler/Tempe. We have a white sand 08 Edge. Purchased from San Tan Ford, will get the service their most likely.
  7. We looked at both the Enclave and the Acadia before we got our Edge. We like them both, however my wife is 5' and the seats would not raise enough for her to see safely. They are a bigger CUV and the seating for 7/8 is nice if you need it. If the visibility issue was absent we would have gotten one of them. Lucky us we decided that we did not need the seating for 7/8 and looked at the Edge which we got on spot. Things I liked Acadia - Heads up display, 7 passenger seating, Back row was comfortable, rear audio controls, back up camera dash style and layout Rear A/C Enclave - 4 year 50k warranty, coated glass for quietness, back row comfort, plush leather, rear A/C
  8. After 3 months of Auto shopping, the wife and I finally pulled the trigger and got her a new 08 Edge Limited. It has NAV, 20" Wheels and Sun-roof. It is the white sand with camel Tan interior. It also has the synch system. My wife loves the CUV so far. I didn't want to get the 20" or the sun-roof, but after looking for so long I was relived that the wife finally found a auto she loved and that fit her. We looked at Highlander - (she didn't like the way the 6 speed tranny sounded) Pilot - Felt blah and chinsy inside. MDX - Too similar to the Pilot Envoy - Blah and truck like Tahoe - too big at this point Acadia - we loved it but she couldn't see well. Enclave - My #1 choice if she could have gotten the seat higher, ie.. she couldn't see that well. We wanted a 7+ auto, but then we re-evaluated and decided that we could live with seats for 5. The first CUV we looked at was the edge and we could not pass it up. Great ride so far. We take it on our first trip for a 3 hour ride to the wife's parents for Christmas. I will update after the drive.
