  1. Well I am a Canadian owner of a 2013 Ford Edge Sport with the 22 inch factory rims and I am sorry to say after 25 000 kilometres (15 000 miles) and a year and a half all of my rims have shown the cases of the oxidation on the bead of the rim. After multiple visits and attempts at my local Ford dealership to no satisfaction I ending up taking them to my local tire shop to be dismounted and all sanded down with a sanding disk and the rims recoated with a black bead sealer. My frustation came to a head when I went on holidays and after a week with a delayed flight coming out to the airport parking lot at 1 am in the morning to a flat tire...... No puncture -- just a leaky bead -- it almost got the burning rag in gas tank that night. Ford you have to confess to this being an issue -- One rim I can just see as a coincidence -- all four with the same issue is a design flaw. I am not saying a full out recall but reimbursement for anyone that through frustation has outsourced this repair. Kirby
  2. Well I have had this for well over a year on my 2013 Ford Edge Sport with MFT and push button start. This is not new technology and it is not something Ford designed. You need a Db-all interface from Direct electronics http://www.xpresskit.com/VehicleCompatibility.aspx?p=null&year=2013&make=Ford&model=Edge%20%28Smart%20Key%29&ps=1&s=0&c=0 and a Directed Electronics Smart Start module and it is pretty well plug and play. They even allow GPS tracking and Geofencing with my unit. http://www.directed.com/smartstart/ You of course must pay for this service because it works off a cell phone signal which runs about $100 dollars a year. The new units also allow bluetooth connectivity off your smartphone if you are within range.

  4. Well this is what I would recommend installing the DB-All from Xpresskit.com with the FORD3 firmware they have a kit that is plug and play that will allow for interfacing of a Smartsmart application (a smartphone based Android, IOS, or Blackberry app) in conjuction with a module that allows you to control your remote starter from your smartphone with confirmation of command reception. As long as you have cell reception it will work anywhere. This is what I have and it interfaces and works flawlessly. The DB-All also allows the intergrated of a plug and play RF remote from Directed Electronics like a 9251VL or 9752VL which will give you an option for another traditional hand remote starter remote with two way reception and about 3000' feet of range. It is explained in the dowloadable specifications and instructions off the website www.xpresskit.com. Hope this helps, Kirby
  5. I will certainly buy a pair of the Vertical daytime running lights with the integrated turn indicator if the led strip for the turn signal matches the color of my mirror indicators. I would be all over that. Sign me up -- I have been waiting patiently for this release. Kirby
