  1. Same problem on 2017 Titanium. Did you put the tape on the cover or the floor pan? Thanks
  2. My front rotors were warped so I put on new rotors and decided to replace pads all around to freshen up all the brakes. Front went well, no problems. The pads I had for the rear were too small but they were the right part number for a 2012. Went to parts store and found that there was a change for the 2013 model on the rear pads and in fact I had to buy pads for a 2013 to put on my 2012 on the rear. So for any 2012 owners that run into this problem 2013 pads are the answer.
  3. Thanks for the instructions, just what I need.
  4. 2012 Edge Limited 3.5 with select shift. Can anyone provide me with the replacement instructions for the shift assembly? Thanks
  5. I am back with the same problem. I thought I might have had it solved but I don't. Vehicle now has 24,000 miles. Filling the tank with the last 2-5 gallons is the issue, usually right at 3 gallons. Once the pump kicks off if I try try to continue filling I have to do it very slowly and the pump will kick off several times. But if I am at a station that is not busy and I can wait 10 minutes or so it will fill right up when I continue filling maybe kicking off one more time. Common sense tells me that it either is not venting the air quick enough to to let the tank fill normally or there is a problem with the design of the tank baffles that will not let the fuel settle in the tank quick enough. I took it to a dealer if FL. when it was fairly new and that was a waste of time. I have an appointment Fri. with another dealer here in TN. for Fri. but after talking to the service rep. I don't have a lot of hope for this visit. I have researched this online several times and I know there are some other Edge owners out there with the same problem, and there seems to be even more Fusion owners out there with the same problems. Anyone else on the forum run across this? If so, did you get it solved? Thanks in advance

    Gas Gauge question

I have had this problem since day one. I thought I had it fixed one but I didn't. I can always get 3 plus gallons in after pump clicks off. If I don't add these gallons the fuel gauge won't make to the full mark. Also after filling it will show around 380 miles to empty. Had it to dealer once for this and that was a complete waste of time. Their response was "can't duplicate customer concerns". The only way they could "duplicate my concerns" would be to try to fill the tank which they didn't do.
  7. I got under the vehicle a couple of months ago to find the vent hose. I didn't see anything there. Around the fill hole there are maybe 6 or 7 smaller holes. I aired up my air compressor and blew the compressed air into all of these holes thinking that at least one of these was the vent. I have filled the tank 3 times since then with no more problems, a full tank each time.
  8. My problem is a little different. I always leave the radio on, about half the time the radio will be off when I restart the vehicle. And don't even get me started on the climate control system. I think it is "possessed".
  9. Just heard on the news that Ford is going back to knobs & levers for climate control. I have had no trouble with navigation or the phone, a small problem with audio, but the climate control is absolutely horrible. Many times I have wished mine had levers and knobs. Auto function is useless. 30 degrees outside and I have climate on auto, I start vehicle and the blower goes to full blast, should not do that until coolant has warmed up. 40 degrees outside, start vehicle and the air conditioner is comes on. In fact air can come on at anytime on its own. Every time I start vehicle I have to change something on the touch screen pertaining to climate control. Really like the vehicle with the exception of the climate control and filling the fuel tank issues.
  10. Having trouble getting fuel tank full. Pump kicks off and there is 3 to 5 gallons of fuel until full. Can fill it but have to go very slow and pump constantly kicks off. Don't like to top off but also don't like leaving with 3/4 to 7/8 tank of fuel. Search online and seems to be a common problem but haven't seen any solutions. Went to dealer once but that was a waste of time. Anyone else have this problem? If so, what was the fix? 2012 3.5L.
